"Well look what the cat dragged in" Mama Ferguson opened the door wider. "Look at that handsome baby!"
Dash cooed and reached for his grandmother.
"Hi!" I said, and gave her a hug.
Darold got all of our bags out of the car.
"Hello, child. Sit down. Take a load off." She said.
I took my shoes off and left them by the door.
"Something's cooking" I said.
"Wouldn't you like to know?" She teased.
Diji squeezed her face between his hands and laughed.
"Looking just like your parents!" She commented.
"Hey, ma" Darold kicked off his shoes and brought our bags upstairs.
Darold came back and sat down beside me. "Where do I clock out on the parenting thing? His granny got him"
I reached out to to touch his stubbly beard.
My personal favorite.
Diji got down on the floor and started crawling.
"Come here, Dashy"
He lifted hid head to look at me and gave a half smile.
He kicked off with his back legs and cooed the whole time.
As soon as he was in arms reach, I swooped him up. "Hi, stinky feet!"
"Let me smell" Darold pulled Diji's foot and he shrieked.
Dash swung his fist and hit Darold in the cheek.
He cooed at his daddy before shoving his fist into his mouth.
"Lord, what have you done?" Mama laughed. "He's going to be ready for the ring by one"
I smiled.
"Maybe, maybe not" Darold tapped Diji's cheek.
Dash stared at him and chewed on his fist, unfazed.
"You gon' choke" Darold pulled his fist out of his mouth.

I kissed Diji's cheek as he slept.
"Are you counting how many kisses til he wakes up?"
I smiled. "I said that I was in love with him"
"Let me...see something" Darold turned my face around and connected our lips. "You tryna send me to sleep?"
I shook my head no. "You want another baby in me, Darold. I'm not falling victim to you and your shenanigans"
"My wife won't give me baby number two? That's a real shame. We said 'through morning sickness and through health'.
"No we didn't" I eased away.
"Stop running" He smiled. "You can't do it for forever"

I'm about done w/ this book. I think I'll just write the epilogue. As of now, the first five chapters of Diji's book is posted. I'm trying my best to make it a stand-alone. The past will be referenced because of what happens to Sayvior in Diji's book
