1: Love Letters

[ Hermione P.O.V ]

*Ginny, Luna, Harry and Hermione are sitting at the Gryffindor table in the Great Hall eating dinner.*

Who could have sent me that letter? I don't recognise the handwriting...

Ginny: Hermione? Hermione!

*Ginny snaps her fingers at Hermione.*

"What?!"

Ginny: What's bothering you?

"What do you mean?"

Harry: You've been quiet all day! What's wrong?

"It's... Well- Um..." I bit my lip. "Someone sent me a letter... and-"

Luna: Is it a love letter?!

"Uh- Yeah..."

Luna: Oh! How exciting!

Harry: Who's it from?

"That's just it! The person who sent me it didn't even sign their name! And I don't recognise the handwriting either..."

Luna: Can you read it to us?

*Hermione blushes.*

"Alright..."

*Hermione takes a folded piece of paper from her pocket.*

My dearest Hermione,

I honestly don't know how to put this into words... but I will do my best. The truth is, I have liked you for quite some time now. I'm just sorry it took me this long to say it.

You are the most beautiful girl in the school! (and maybe in the world). I can't get you out of my head. I think about you more than I would like to admit.

However, I know that we could never be together... but that doesn't mean we can't try...

Hermione, you are my forever... I am always yours.

Luna: Aww! That's so sweet!!

"That's what worries me..."

Luna: What do you mean?

"What if it's some kind of cruel joke? Or worse, what if it's from Ron?!"

Harry: Why would Ron send you a love letter? He's the one who broke up with you! And besides, he's back with Lavender now...

"I know, I know... but what if this is his way of trying to get me back?"

Ginny: Speaking of Ronald... Where is he? I haven't seen him all day.

Harry: He's ill.

*Ginny rolls her eyes.*

Ginny: What's wrong with him now?

Harry: He's puking his guts up and-

"Harry! We did not need to know that! And I'm sure we don't need to hear the rest of it!"

Harry: What? She asked! And I doubt that letter is from Ron.

Ginny: Can we see it Hermione?

"Sure."

*Hermione hands the letter to Ginny and Luna.*

Ginny: Sorry, I don't recognise the hand writing either...

Luna: What about you Harry?

*Luna shows Harry the letter.*

Harry: Actually, it does look familiar... I just can't remember whose it is. Sorry Hermione.

"At least you tried, thanks guys. I have to go work on my essay for Professor Slughorn-"

Harry: Hermione! That essay was just assigned today! And it's not due until next week!

"Harry, I thought you knew me better than that!"

*Hermione leaves the Great Hall and heads towards the library.*

*Hermione runs into Draco and drops her books.*

Draco: Oi! Watch it, Mudblood!

"Well I'm sorry that my existence bothers you so much, Malfoy!"

Draco: Better watch that mouth of yours, Granger. Wouldn't want you getting too bold now, would we?

*Draco picks up Hermione's books and hands them to her.*

Draco: Now get out of my way, Mudblood!

*Draco walks away brushing his hair back with his fingers, smiling.*

Did he just pick up my books for me? No... I must have been day dreaming... Malfoy would never do that... would he?
