[ Hermione P.O.V ]

*In the astronomy tower.*

Draco: My father asked me to come home this weekend.

"Are you going to?"

Draco: I don't think I have much of a choice.

"Do you think he knows?"

Draco: I know he does... Pansy's been telling everyone about us.

"Please don't go, I don't want him to hurt you..."

Draco: He won't hurt me.

"Draco, please..."

Draco: I'm sorry, Hermione. I have to go...

"Just promise me that you'll be careful."

Draco: I promise.

*Draco hugs Hermione.*

Draco: Are you going to be okay here by yourself?

"Luna will keep me out of trouble."

Draco: Good.

*They stop hugging.*

"When do you leave?"

Draco: Early tomorrow morning.

"So, I won't be able to see you again, before you leave?"

Draco: I don't think it'll be a good I idea... My father's picking me up.

"I suppose you're right."

Draco: We should probably get going.

"Can't we just stay here, forever?"

Draco: I wish we could... How are they treating you, back in Gryffindor?

"No one talks to me anymore..."

Draco: By 'no one', do you mean Harry and Ron?

"Yeah... And Ginny..."

Draco: Don't worry, they'll learn to understand that you too have a life.

"How do you know?"

Draco: Just trust me.

"I do trust you."

Draco: And that's all that matters.

*Draco leans in and kisses Hermione.*

*The next morning in Hogsmeade.*

Narcissa: Draco, there you are, darling!

"Mum? I though that farther was meeting me."

Narcissa: Something came up at the ministry.

"Of course..."

Narcissa: Are you ready to go, Draco?

"I suppose so... Why did father want me to come home?"

Narcissa: Because we missed you!

"Mum, don't lie to me! He talked to Pansy, didn't he?"

Narcissa: Well, she can to visit...

"What did she say?"

Narcissa: She wanted to speak to your father...

"About what?"

Narcissa: I don't know, Draco, but we really should get going now.

"Fine."

[ Hermione P.O.V ]

*Hermione walks into the Gryffindor common room to find Ron sitting in front of the fire.*

"Please talk to me..."

Ron: Why should I talk to you?

"Because you're one of my best friends..."

Ron: Well, maybe you should have thought about that before you went around snogging Malfoy behind our backs!

"Ron, please! You don't understand!"

Ron: No, you don't understand! I loved you, Hermione! And then I find you with HIM!

"How do you think I felt when you were with Lavender?! I couldn't believe that you actually went back to her!"

Ron: Well, at least she's in Gryffindor!

"What do houses have to do with this?! You can't hate a person from what house they're in!"

Ron: It's not what house he's in! It's what he's done in the past... What he's done to YOU in the past!

"Well, at least I can learn to forgive!"

Ron: Maybe I don't need your forgiveness!

"Maybe, I wasn't talking about you!"

Ron: Screw off, Hermione!

"Fine!"

Ron: Fine!

*Hermione storms off.*
