"Draco, is that you?"
Draco: Of course, it's me, Hermione.
*Hermione rushes up to Draco and hugs him.*
"Draco, I was so worried about you- What happened to your face?!"
Draco: It's nothing.
"No it not! Let me see it."
Draco: Hermione, I'm fine!
*Hermione turns Draco's face towards her and gasp at the sight of his black eye.*
"Your father did this, didn't he?"
Draco: Hermione-
"Didn't he?!"
Draco: Yes...
"I knew something like this would happen!"
*Tears start to roll down Hermione's cheeks and Draco embraces her in his arms.*
"I shouldn't have let you go..."
Draco: Hermione, it's not your fault. We knew something like this would happen eventually...
"But... He hurt you..."
Draco: It could've been much worse...
"Don't say things like that!"
Draco: I'm sorry, Hermione.
"Please don't go back there!"
Draco: I won't, I promise.
*Draco kisses Hermione on the forehead and on the lips.*
Draco: We'll get through this, I know we will...

*The next day in the Great Hall.*
Neville: Hermione! This just came for you.
*Neville hands Hermione a envelope.*
"Thank you, Neville."
Neville: No problem.
*Neville leaves as Hermione starts to open the envelope.*
Hermione,
Meet me by the lake in an hour. I'll be waiting for you...

That's odd... He didn't use his usual signature... It must be rather important then.

"Draco?"
A voice: I see you got my message...
*Hermione turns around and sees Pansy with another figure.*
"Pansy?! What do you want?"
Pansy: There's someone I'd like you to meet.
Lucius: Actually, Miss Granger and I have already met.
"Hello, Mr. Malfoy..."
Lucius: Pansy, leave us.
Pansy: Yes, sir.
*Pansy runs off.*
"What do you want with me?"
Lucius: I want you to stay away from my son, you filthy mudblood!
"Why should I?"
Lucius: Because, if you don't, the Dark Lord will kill him...
"What are you talking about?! Voldemort is dead!"
Lucius: That may be true, but, his followers are far from it.
"And you would actually let them kill your son?"
Lucius: It's out of my control.
"I can't just leave him..."
Lucius: Then, end your love for him.
*Lucius starts to walk away.*
"Wait!"
Lucius: What?
"I'll... I'll do it..."
Lucius: Wise choice, Miss Granger.
"Just make sure nothing happens to him, please?"
Lucius: Of course...
