~ELLIANA'S POV
It's Thursday, meaning I have to go home right after school to get ready! I texted my mom after it happened, and she was super excited for me. She is going to give me something her mother gave to her, so it's a hereditary item.
Recently, Peter has been really distant and cold. He stares at me still, but in more of a hurt way. I just brush it off, but keep it in the back of my mind. At the end of the day, I saw Evan.
"Hey! Evan, I never answered your question about what I was wearing to the party tonight." I said.
"Oh yeah, something pretty I hope." He said embracing me.
"It will be, don't even worry about it. But yeah, if you want to match then maybe have like a pink rose?" I said suggestively.
"Oooo floral? Wow, my sexy flower is going to be wearing sexy flowers?" he said moving his hands to my waist.
I backed up a little, "Yup!" I said chuckling, "Well, I'll see you at the party."
I looked at Evan but his gaze was fixed upon someone behind me. I turned to walk away, but I ran into Peter. As I collided with his chest, he took one arm and wrapped it around me. We stood there for a couple seconds before he made us turn and walk away.
"I'll text you later, cutie!" Evan called tauntingly.
With this, Peter's grip tightened, "Ow, Peter! You're hurting me!"
"Well I figured that should be better than having your heart ache after he hurts you!" he said not letting me go.
I ripped from his arms, "What the hell is wrong with you, Peter?"
His jaw clenched, "I can't believe you actually have to ask, did that kiss really mean nothing to you?"
"I'm just trying to have a nice time with someone who is open with their feelings about me."
As the argument worsens, MJ pushes Ned into her car and they drive off.
Peter puts his hand up, "How is it my fault that he asked you before I could."
This angered me, "PETER, YOU HAD 11 YEARS TO SAY SOMETHING ABOUT IT, BUT YOU DIDN'T... and that's on you."
Tears welled up in both of our eyes, but I knew if I cried he'd try to comfort me. So I just walked home, leaving him standing there.
By the time I got home, I had been crying for a bit. To try to make some of the puffiness go away, I washed my face, started to apply my makeup, and did my hair. When I was done, I walked out to see my mom and Aunt May chatting on the couch.
"Oh, honey, you look amazing!" My mom said to me.
"You look stunning, even before you have the outfit on!" Aunt May said fixing my hair.
