Compete with yourself,
Not others."I'm taking requests." Beth said holding the TV remote proudly.
"Minions!" Her kids shouted jumping on the couch next to Cassandra. Beth back and forth looked at the remote and TV whispering the instructions. "TV on. Streaming box on. Input one. Two. Arrow up, arrow left. Select. Select. Select." When the screen lit up everyone cheered. "Yay!"
"Where's your brother?" Beth asked.
"Outside." Emma said.
"I got it." Cassandra said getting up off the couch. She smiled seeing him sat at the picnic table outside reading his maths problems out loud to himself. "And gave one half to Kyle." He said. "Kyle kept eight of the Jujubes and gave the last ten to Kim. How many Jujubes did Jen take from Sam?"
"36." Cassandra froze momentarily before speeding up. "You know how many she'd have taken if Sam had a gun, though?"
"How many?" The boy asked.
"Zero." The gang leader said.
"Whoa." The younger boy said completely in awe. Cassandra couldn't stop staring at the man. "Kenny go inside."
"I don't wanna." The younger boy said.
"You're mum's got the TV working." She tried.
"But your friend's helping me." He said looking at the tattooed man. "Go inside and watch TV." She said. "Now."
"Listen to Aunty, Kenny." He smiled at the kid as he leaved, which reminded Cassandra how attractive the gang leader really was. Once Kenny was inside Cassandra relaxed her shoulders. "You know you should really get him a tutor, right?" The gang member stepped towards Cassandra. "You want the rest of the money? We'll get it." Cassandra said nervously.
"No, let's forget all that." He said, stepping closer.
"Then why are you here?" She asked, glancing back towards the house; she could see Beth pecking through the window. "I keep thinking about what she said." The leader said, nodding his head at Beth, giving her a cocky smile. "About being a basic bitchs and whatnot."
"That's not exactly what she said." Cassandra began.
"Maybe there's something you could help me out with." He was so close now Cassandra could feel his breath on her ear as he towered over her. "What's that?" Cassandra gulped.
"You ladies got passports?"
