If someone gets in the way of being beautiful, just fucking eat them alive.

The drive to where the gang leader told them to pick up the stuff was mostly quiet, Annie and Cassandra tried to make jokes to lighten the mode and to try to get Beth and Ruby to sing along to the song on the radio. "Still think it's drugs?" Ruby asked as they pulled up in front of the destination. "Worse." Cassandra joked. "Scrapbooking."
"He said to go around the back." Beth said.

Annie and Cassandra sang along to the song on the radio as Beth spoke to a tall ginger haired man with a beard. Ruby turned the radio off as the two younger women began to belt the chorus. "Damn." Annie muttered. "What's your problem?" She asked.
"We're not at Lilith Fair right now." Ruby said.
"Mmm, but wouldn't you rather be?" Annie joked.
"Mmm, tough call." She said sarcastically.
"Damn, someone's in a mood." Annie muttered.
"Uh, going through something with Stan." Ruby explained.
"What, did he rub your feet too much?" Cassandra teased.
"Been hugging on you too hard?" Annie laughed.
"Some woman at church took credit for the money." Ruby explained.
Annie looked at her. "Wait, for Sara?" Ruby nodded. "What, who?"
"Some thirsty skank who's been after Stan for years." Ruby said.
Cassandra scoffed. "I mean, it's Stan." She said. "It's not like she actually has any kind of in."
"Yeah, but it's the fact that she has the nerve to think she does, and that's enough to bug." Ruby added.
"I feel you." Annie said as Beth walked to the car looking defeated and angry.
"This doesn't look good." Cassandra as the strawberry blonde entered the car. "So, what happened?"
"He doesn't have it." Beth said, gripping the steering wheel.
"What do you mean, he doesn't have it?" Annie asked.
"He doesn't have the package for us." Beth said.
"He doesn't have it, or he won't give it to you?" Ruby questioned.
"Why wouldn't he give it to me?" Beth asked.
"Maybe he wants to keep it for himself." Cassandra stated.
"What's his name?" Annie asked.
"Mike." Beth answered. "Wait, what are you doing?" She asked as Annie climbed out the car.
"Handling it." The younger Boland sister said.
"He really seemed like he didn't have it." Beth muttered. The three others watched as Annie spoke to the man, vaguely understanding what was going on. A couple of minutes later she came back empty handed. "I don't get it." She said shutting the door. "I thought we were connecting. I mean, I was so nice." She said.
"All right, well, nice isn't gonna cut it." Ruby said, taking the gun out of her purse.
"Whoa! Are you serious?" Annie yelled.
"Relax." Ruby said. "I'm just gonna scare him a little." She walked outside. Ruby barely got any words out when she shot the man in the foot. "Oh, my god!" The man yelled in pain. Ruby screamed and the other girls ran over to them. Some of his men ran away whilst others stayed to help. "Oh, my God!" Ruby cried.
"You shot him!" Beth yelled.
"I didn't mean to!" Ruby said.
"I thought you said it wasn't loaded!" Cassandra asked.
"There must have been one in the chamber!" Ruby explained.
"You shot me in the foot!" Mike yelled.
"I'm so sorry!" Ruby said. "What can I do?"
"Stay away from me." He yelled. "Just stay away from me! Take what you came for and get out of here." She said, holding his bleeding foot. "The box is in back that way."

"It just needs a Band-Aid." Beth said, trying to comfort Ruby as the four drove back to border control. "It was a graze."
"In the foot." Annie added.
"He's being a baby." Beth said. "He's gonna live."
"May not walk again, but..." Annie muttered.
"He's about to get the best free-care socialised medicine can buy." Beth said.
"We should all be so lucky." Annie joked.
"I shot a man." Ruby whispered. Annie and Beth sighed loudly.

"Passports?" The Border guard asked. She handed them back, looking at the boxes in the back. "Quick trip?" She asked.
"Uh, yeah." Beth said nervously. "Just a little shopping."
"Have all the receipts for your purchases?" The guard asked.
Beth handed over the receipts Cassandra had found on top of one of the boxes. "That should be everything." The suburban mum said. "Everything looks in order. Pull on over to lane three." The lady pointed to a empty lane.
"Is that the express lane?" Beth tried to joke.
"Search and seizure." The lady responded, Cassandra's stomach turned. "Just need to verify your purchases, and you're good to go." The woman said.

The four woman pulled in to the lane. A police officer walked passed with a sniffer dog. "No, no, no, no, no, no, no." muttered as the police opened the trunk of the car. "Hey, Brian." The policemen called. "Box cutter."
"Oh, Jesus." Ruby muttered. "Oh, Jesus, Jesus, Jesus."
"Everything is gonna be fine." Cassandra whispered.
The officer walked towards the four females with no emotion. "Have a safe trip home." The officer said, passing them back their passports and receipts. "Thank you for your patience."

"That dog would have smelled drugs, right?" Beth asked.
"Yeah." Annie said
"So what is it?" Cassandra asked.
"I've got something—" Beth said, digging her hand into the box.
"Get in there." Annie encouraged. "Come on."
"I don't see anything." Beth said. "Guys." She tried to get the others attention.
"It's gotta be inside then." Ruby muttered.
"It's wrapping paper. It's just wrapping paper." Beth said unravelling one of the rolls; while the outside looked like Christmas rapping paper with snowmen on it, the back was printed with hundreds of hundred dollar bills. Ruby and Annie stood with their mouths open and their eyes wide. "What?" Beth asked, looking at the other's faces.
