I arrived at the fountain and saw Shelby sitting on the seat of the fountain. I start to feel sad but I held it in.
"Hey Shelby! "
"Hey Cassie!"
"We have to talk about something."
"Okay? What is it?" She said with a confused look on her face.
"My dad got a job in California...my family has to move there."
I waited for a reply. She was speechless.
"Oh...when do you leave?"
"Tommorow afternoon"
We both started to cry! We hugged for what felt like forever!
"I'm going to miss you so much" Shelby said after we finally separated.
"I will miss you too but, my mom said we will come visit as much as we can.
"What do you want to do for our last day together for awhile?" She said.
"Lets get everyone and go to the mall" I said.
We called everyone, told them what was goin on and soon after everyone was at the fountain together. We all got in my friend Alex's car and drove to the mall. Everyone was pretty sad about the news but, we tried to be happy so we would have a good time together. When we got to the mall we all got a little excited. Alex parked the car and we ran into the mall. We first looked at some of the small stores, then we went to the food court. Me and Alex went to get tacos from taco bell while everyone else got pizza and Chinese and stuff like that. I was going to miss Alex the most. Not only is he my best friend in the whole world but, I also have a little crush on him. No one knows except for Shelby. We ordered our food and went back to the tables where the rest of the group was. After we ate our food we decided to have a little fun. So, we went to Jc Penny's and rode up and down on the escalators then we went to Sears and played around on the remote control beds and chairs. After we got done with the mall we realized it was only 7:30 so we decided to catch a 8:00 movie.
"What do you guys wanna see?" Nicole asked.
"Omfg! I want to see The Fault In Our Stars!" I yelled.
Everyone agreed even the guys. We got back into Alex's car and drove to the movie theater. We bought our tickets and snacks and walked into our movie. There were alot of us so we took up almost 2 rows of seats. I sat next to Alex and Shelby. During the movie I realized that this was going to be the last time I see my friends and Alex for a long time. I started to tear up. Alex looked at me and saw a tear roll down my face.
"Whats wrong?" he asked.
"I just dont want to leave you and everyone tommorow."
"It will be okay. You will see us all again. Its not goodbye forever."
I smiled and started to watch the movie again. I felt Alex's hand grab mine. I was a little shocked. I just kept my head forward and kept watching the movie. When the movie ended we walked out to Alex's car for the last time together. Alex individually dropped everyone off at their houses. As each of them got out of the car I said goodbye to them. Alex dropped me off last. When we pulled up to my house we both got out of the car and walked up to my front door.
"So, this is it?" I said.
"Yup" he said awkwardly.
"Goodnight Alex" I said.
Before I could do anything else he smashed his lips to mine. It was the best kiss I've ever had in my life.
"I love you" he whispered in my ear.
After he moved away from my ear he just turned around and walked back to his car and drive away. It was saddest and happiest moment of my life. I went inside my almost empty house. My parents were already sleeping so I just went upstairs to my room. I took a quick shower and got into bed. I kept replaying the kiss over and over in my mind until I fell asleep.
