Chapter 3

I got back to the ship. My mom and dad were talking to each other. It seemed quiet. My mom seemed serious though as well as my father. Henry was near them, listening. I snuck down to my room and sat on the bed. The bed spread was cleaned. Guessing Smee cleaned it. He only came aboard now just to clean up.

I lay back against my bed spread. It was warm. I just needed to tell, well ask, my parents about Pan. I just want to know what my powers hold and what they are. Rumpelstiltskin said he would train me if needed. He was the Dark One anyway, very high power. Even Regina. She's the dark queen and to be honest, she's kinda...ordery. Everything here has been secretive. When outsides come we all go with our village names. Henry and I keep ours and so does my mom. My dad goes to his name, Killian Jones. That's his name, honest.

I started to fall asleep when I heard an eerie noise. I stood and walked up onto deck. My parents weren't on deck, so I'm guessing asleep. It seems to be midnight, I think. Full moon, so Ruby is probably running around. Quite fun. I looked around not seeing anything wrong. A hand covered my mouth and I tried to fight back, which wasn't really that easy. Being five feet and four inches, doesn't really help.

"Calm down...no one will hurt you, well at least not yet." said a voice. Sounded like a young boy near my age I guess. I couldn't tell.

I started to pound the ground with my heal hitting my leather boots against the wooden planks, trying to have someone hear me. I heard the door open. "GET AWAY FROM HER!" I heard Henry yell. The grip loosened when I didn't feel anyone had hold of me, like they just disappeared like magic. I fell to my knees. For some reason I started to get woozy. Henry ran over and helped me up.

"Faith? You okay?" he asked.

"Sorta woozy...who was that...?" I asked.

"Pan's shadow. It seems like it's trying to catch you now..."

Pan's shadow...just what I needed.

I blacked out. Everything went black and I heard nothing.

I awoke in the morning with my mother sitting next to me. I sat up. I was in my room and in my bed. I feel even worse than I did last night.

"Mom...? Why aren't you at work?" I asked still tired.

"Took the day off. Henry brought you back to your room last night then came to get us. He said Pan's shadow was after you. True?" she asked.

I nodded. My mom was Storybrook's police chief. I'm glad. But it does cut off time to be with us, sadly.

"Stay in bed today. We'll take you to Mary Margaret's place for you to rest."

"You mean grandma right." I said. She nodded.

I stood up almost falling back down. What was happening? My head started to hurt feeling like a needle went through it. I lifted my hand to rub it but a fireball flew out of my palm against the wall burning a hole in it. My eyes widened. That hasn't happened before, but it did now. I looked at my mom and she looked at me with worried eyes.

"Uh...whoops?" I said.

"We may need to see Gold now." my mom said.

I followed her out and we walked pretty fast down to Gold's shop. It was freezing considering it was now fall. We turned the corner and saw Regina.

"Regina." My mom said.

"Morning Emma. Same to you Faith." she said.

"Morning Madame Mayor." I said.

She grinned, "You don't need to call me that."

I gave a polite smile, "sorry."

She nodded. "So what you running for today?" she asked.

"Faith's power activated. Last night Pan's shadow was aboard Hook's ship and tried to take her." my mom said.

Regina's eyes widened. "Pan's shadow?! That means he's here."

I looked at my mom then Regina. To be honest, what if it was Peter in that alleyway? What if he was trying to figure out something? About me and my powers. That only scared me. I may be a wolf, but even wolves get scared. Really.

We started toward Gold's shop, practically running. I know my mom doesn't want anything to happen to me or anyone of this town. I don't want anything happening to anyone. Everyone here are my family.

We went inside going through the reddish colored door and went right to the back.

"Gold, where are you?" My mom asked.

"Give me a second deary. I'm up front." Gold said.

We walked to the front. Gold was behind the desk kneeling, going through the cupboard.

"Gold, Faith's power activated last night." Regina told him. He looked up with a grin.

"Has it now? Well, I told her I would help her with her powers when they did. One touch of pan's power and poof, her powers are there." he said and stood.

"What do you mean...?" I asked.

He walked out from behind the counter. He's always wearing a black suit. "Your powers deary, they only activate when pan's dark magic touch them. Since your father was always at Neverland, he had some pixie dust on him. Then when you were born, it attached to your power. So it would activate when the dark magic touched you."

I froze unsure what to say. Why didn't he tell me this yesterday!? I was almost kidnapped if it wasn't for my brother and he just tells me now! You've got to be kidding me! I just gave up. I didn't want anyone touching my powers until I found out what they were. I ran out of the shop. My mom followed as well as Regina. I kept running till I got to the forest and hid behind a tree. My mom and Regina ran past me. I didn't like running, especially from Mom. She didn't want me hurt.

I started to run another way. I got to a creak and started to jump over the rocks. I tripped when I got to the other side and fell into the dirt. I got up and brushed myself off. I heard the same sound as last night and ran as fast as I can. I stopped as a figure floated in front of me. It's eyes were white and it was a publish black. I backed and started running.

"Mother! Regina! Help!" I screamed as the figure grabbed my arm. I struggled trying to get free. The figure wrapped it's arm around me and flew off holding me. I tried getting loose from from its grasp. I saw mom and Regina. Regina's hand formed a fireball and threw it at us. The figure dodged. I don't think I should've ran off like that....

"Faith!" was all I heard before I blacked out.
