"Ah? Really? No practice today? I thought there was?" Oikawa whispered, disappointed.

Hanamaki just called to remind Oikawa that practice wasn't in session for the third time that week.

Now don't get him wrong, he likes it when he takes a day off from whatever he's doing for his birthday.

But to have it canceled for three days of this week for him was extremely worrisome and he felt... left out. It hadn't even been his birthday yet and he had been neglected every single day of the week.

His team didn't speak to him much other than volleyball talk, which he wasn't too used to. Kunimi and Kindaichi usually worked a conversation or two once in a while, but that stopped.

Even his best friends, the other third years, barely spoke to him. Mattsun and Makki were usually chit chatting away with him, but they stayed eerily silent.

But the worst by far was worse was the fact that Hajime was avoiding any contact with him. It almost brought tears to Tooru's eyes thinking that he could possibly never speak to Iwaizumi again, on his birthday nonetheless.

In his now 19 years of life, 18 of those years were spent with Iwaizumi. All those birthdays, every Christmas, New Year's; Iwaizumi was there through it all.

And now that the pillar he was held up by disappeared, what was preventing him from falling? Maybe he wasn't interesting to him anymore?

He hung up the phone call without an answer, and merely layed on the bed. He grasped his large pillow with his whole body and tightly hugged it, tears brimming his chestnut eyes. After only one tear spilled, he drifted off to sleep, unaware of what was going on...

Oikawa awoke around 6 pm when he received a phone call. He was extremely drowsy and he almost didn't answer if it wasn't for who called him.

Iwaizumi.

At this point, he was desperate for any sort of contact with him, so he answered right away.

"Hello...?" He yawned, rubbing his eyes. On the other side of the line, he could hear Matsukawa's yelling of 'He was asleep this whole time?!'

"Oikawa, tell me what you've been doing this whole time." Iwaizumi's deep smooth voice always seemed to soothe him.

"Oh uh geez, I dunno, sleeping?" He remarked, finally sitting up from the bed.

He heard someone get hit by Hajime, it sounded an awful lot like Hanamaki.

"You have 5 minutes to live Takahiro!" Iwaizumi screamed over the phone, at which Oikawa calmly put it away from his ear. "Well, Makki is gonna get you in a few minutes, so you better be dressed nicely or shit."

"Alright Iwa-chan! See you later." Oikawa heard a "Kyoutani, go die in a hole!" before he hung up.

He chuckled at his teams antics before he realized he had to get dressed. Oikawa quickly changed into a sudden outfit; a white t-shirt and some black jeans, before wrapping a red plaid jacket around his waist. He took his glasses and placed them on, since he was way too lazy to put his contacts on.

He slipped his shoes on and felt around for his phone, sighing in relief as he found it in his pocket. The doorbell rang and he opened it, revealing a panting Hanamaki as he crashed into the ground in front of Tooru.

There was an awkward silence before the pink haired boy spoke up.

"Wowie it looks like I've fallen for you man."

They broke into laughter before Oikawa helped the other up.

"That's really gay, Makki." He replied, before the two chuckled again.

"We're all gay Hun, welcome to the family. Now, either I die if I don't take you back, or I die when I get back. Both ways, I'm done for." Hanamaki didn't even give Oikawa a chance to answer as he pulled him into his car.

"Jesus Makki, the last time I let you drive me somewhere, you nearly crashed us into a non existent deer, which ended up being a dead tree." They shut their doors as Oikawa scoffed at the sudden decision.

"Don't remind me..." Mumbled the driver.

They made in one piece to what seemed to an empty park. The two slammed the doors closed and made their way into the park.

Except, Oikawa was the only one that made it into the fabulous and gorgeous area covered in decorations and aesthetic lights hanging everywhere.

He noticed the shadow of someone, who turned around and revealed themselves to be Hajime, making him grin widely like an idiot.

"Oh! Tooru!" Hajime walked over to his best friend and with outstretched arms, they embraced in a loving hug. One that they stayed in for a bit longer than intended to.

"I thought you guys forgot... I thought you forgot...!" Oikawa said, near tears, grasping his friend's built arms in frustration.

Iwaizumi pulled away from the hug to wipe his love's tears away and comfort his face softly, thumbs resting near his precious chocolate eyes full of so much life and emotions.

"I would forget my own name before forgetting when my painfully alluring, hard working, breathtaking, charming, lovely, captivating and irresistibly sexy true love was born." Hajime murmured before touching their foreheads together.

They closed their eyes, soft tears spilling over them. Iwaizumi tried to hush the other, but Tooru was choking up on his tears.

"I love you Tooru, happy birthday."

They spent the rest of their night enjoying themselves together, dancing and singing to their favorite songs. The pair messed around, landing on the soft grass and just lying there, both of their hands intertwined.
