Chapter 1:

I sat at the breakfast table downstairs where Cade had told me to be eating a big bowl of cereal and twisting my red hair in my fingers.

I was suprised I wasn't freaking out and spazzing by now that some lunatic had kidnapped me and taken me to his gigantic house in the middle of no where.

I guess I was the only human around here because when I went to go somewhere the people I saw had fangs and normally would stare at me like I was wearing a codfish on my head.

I looked to my right and I saw him grinning like the Chesshire. He walked through the door way and sat in the chair next to me. I had a brilliant idea and it was going to be great.

I turned my head to the other side so I wasn't facing him and I remained eating not even bothering to notice him. "Hellooooo?"

He asked me and I turned over to him giving him a look and replying,"ummm hi?" and I looked down at my cereal.

He let out a frustrated sigh then spoke,"Tessa?" "Cade?" I looked at him like I was annoyed. He sighed again grumpily and left the room looking agitated. My plan had worked and made me proud.

I got up and walked out into the garden and looked up at the clouds. I missed Rosa. I really did. This kinda sucked. I guess it was always our joking dream to get abducted by a vampire.

But wasn't that almost every girl's? It didn't matter. It didn't make sense and I really need answers. I needed to understand this because I felt as though in a dream.

I walked back inside after a couple minutes to see Cade leaning up against the wall. I walked right pass him and into the hall toeards the stairs. I looked up the stairs and there he was standing looking straight at me with a frustrated expression.

I didn't want to make him think I liked it here because at the same time, I kinda thought it was always my dream. But I always imagined Rosa being with me. That made me feel pretty sad.

I walked up the stairs passed him with a twisted grin on my face that I was glad he couldn't see because my hair was in my face. "Dammit!" He yelled and was right in front of me with anger and... was that hurt? in his eyes.

"Why won't you talk to me?" He looked into my eyes and before I knew it he was inches from mine and I snapped out of it and starting running down the hall as fast as I could.

"Charlotte!" He whined and ran after me. I knew he was messing with me because if he was a vampire he could right in front of me right now... I think that's how it worked anyways.

I opened my door and slammed it right before he could reach me. "Come on Charlotte." He said seductively. I knew then it was going to be hard to play this game...
