Bonded By Fate - Unexpected Reunion
River was tapping my shoulder as he smiled looking down at me.
"You know it's already 11 a.m. and almost everyone is downstairs eating breakfast."
I looked up at those beautiful sad blue eyes and asked "Who isn't down there?"
He smiled at me and picked me up bridal style, carrying me down all the stairs. I feel comfortable when I'm with River. I never feel like I'm in danger.
"You're the only one that is not down stairs."
We, well River walked into the dinning room and dropped me on the nearest chair as I giggled. I smiled at him and told him in a bubbly tone
"Why thank you River, that was very kind of you!"
He took the plates with pancakes and strawberries and put them infront of me. He then proceeded to taking the chair next to me. Then he started eating the strawberried with a satisfied expression. He's like an adorable five year old eating breakfast with his mom. It made me sad that River couldn't ever experience that again.
Seth's mom, Crystal, talked in her angelic voice
"Eve, if you aren't doing anything later would you like to go shopping with me?
I smiled at the lovely woman sitting across from me and agreed. Seconds after my agreement, River said in that deep tantalizing voice
"Well I'll be going with her too then."
Seth spoke this time "I don't trust you! I don't want you you anywhere near my mother!" Well I'm sure that must have hurt River deeply. River knew the emotion of wanting to protect his mother, more than anyone. I was going to say somthing to Seth but his mother spoke first
"If he wants to come he ca. He'll carry the bags along with you Seth!"
Guess Seth can't argue with his mother. A few hours later we were walking down the road with about seven shopping bags in each hand. And by 'we' I meant Seth and River carrying the bags. Crystal walked into another store with Seth as me and River waited outside.
As we waited a women came running into us with a good ten men following her. River set the bags down and took care of them in the matter of minutes. Crystal walked out and saw the women in my arms. Suddenly tears threaten to over flow as she said
"Julia?"
The beautiful women in my arms was my mom?!
