Chapter 18: Forgive

Yoojung's POV

Today was one of the days that I didn't have much to do, I was already back at the dorm by 12 noon. Upon opening the door, I saw an unfamiliar face at the living room.

She's probably a relative, a friend, or a girlfriend of one of the oppas. There is no way to avoid her because I have to pass by the living room to go to my room. So I decided to greet her as I passed by the living room

"Hello, welcome to our place!" I said and bowed my head.

"You must be Choi Yoojung! Jimin has mentioned you to me before. Nice to meet you! A woman who looks like she's in her late 30's  stood up, shook my hand and hugged me.

I was initially surprised but I returned her hug back.

"Oh yes, I'm Yoojung. You must be Jimin oppa's sister" I said politely, smiling at her. She mentioned Jimin oppa so I just assumed.

She laughed out loud it looks like my assumption was wrong. Oh no.... Can she probably be Jimin oppa's girlfriend? This is embarrassing, I mistook her as his sister.

Before I could even apologize, I heard Jimin oppa's voice.

"Mom? What are you doing with Yoojung?"

Mom?! What she looks so young and beautiful.

"She thought I was your sister." His mom explained.

"Oh. Yoojung, I'd like to introduce you to my mom. Don't be deceived by her youthful face. She's 48 years old." Jimin oppa said then placed a kissed on his mom's cheeks

"I missed you mom!" He said.

Awww they are so cute. Jimin oppa is such a mama's boy. I suddenly missed my mom. My mom visited me at fantagio at least every once a week before she became sick. How I wish she could still do that.

My thoughs were disrupted when Jimin oppa's mom spoke to me.

"Ah Yoojungah! We're going out to have late lunch, come with us!" She said.

"Oh I already ate and I don't want to intrude with your bonding time." I replied.

I don't want to disturb their bonding time.

"Oh come on! You look thin, you need to eat more. Or if you're really full just have tea or dessert. Jimin is rich he'll pay for it" She insisted

I was trying to come up with another excuse to reject her but before I could speak she has already hooked her arm on my arm and she was literally dragging me out of the apartment.

I searched for Jimin oppa to ask for help but he just laughed and followed us to the elevator.

Okay, might as well just enjoy since I don't think there's no escape from this.

At the restaurant, all three of us were engaged into small talks. She asked about our work, about the other members, she even asked me why I became an idol. She was really nice. She jokingly told me to call her mom, but in the end we settled for Aunty. She always included me in every conversations. She has this welcoming personality that makes you feel more relaxed.

It was so nice to see this side of Jimin oppa. They are very close to each other and joke around a lot but you can see that he is very caring and respectful towards his mom.

The sun was already setting when we drove Aunty to the train station. We tried to convince her to stay at the dorm for the night but she insisted that Jimin oppa's father will be lonely if she doesn't come home today.

"Yoojungah, thank you so much for today. I really enjoyed your company. Let's bond again some other time. Next time visit me in Busan" she said while hugging me.

"Ah Thanks to you too, Aunty! I really enjoyed today too!" I responded

Before she entered the train, she hugged Jimin oppa and whispered something to his ear. Jimin oppa just laughed and hugged her back.

Jimin's POV

"You don't even have to tell me, I know you too well. You never mentioned a girl's name ever so when you said you're worried that Yoojung might feel alone because everyone went home when you were at Busan on your last break. I already knew you like her. The way you looked at her today just gave me more proof to that. She's amazing." Mom whispered to me before boarding the train

How does she know everything? She'll know I'm lying if I deny it so I didn't and just laughed as a response.

While driving on the way back to the dorm, I saw a glimpse of Yoojung, she was staring outside while playing with the pendant that I gave her. She's very quiet and seems sad.

While a part of me is happy that she's always wearing the pendant that I gave her, I also want to know what's the matter with her. I'm scared that she might have wanted to just rest today but mom dragged her into our lunch date.

"Are you upset about anything? I'm sorry that my mom forced you to join us today." I said

"Oh no. I really enjoyed today. In fact I think I should apologize to you for intruding your day with your mom." She said looking at me.

"Oh please we dragged you out of the dorm to join us. There's nothing yo apologize for. If you enjoyed today then why do you look so sad?" I asked.

"I just suddenly missed my mom. She also visited me lots of times before she got sick" She said giving me a sad smile

"There were some times that I was even annoyed with her because I was really tired and just wanted to rest. I regret those times. Now all I want is to just see her again." She continued.

I wanted to hug her, but I don't want to overwhelm her.

"You know sometimes I wish my dad was with me. I try to imagine how things would be different if I had someone to take care of me after mom died. You see, my dad left my mom even before I was born." She said again.

My heart breaks seeing her like this. Just a little more Yoojung and you'll see that he has been taking care of you since he found you.

"Will you be mad at him if he appears one day?" I asked.

"I just want to know his reason on why he left. But at this point in my life I don't think I can be mad at him. If he comes back for some reason, I'll just forgive him and accept him. I don't want to waste any more time being alone."

I can see her from my peripheral view She's facing the window, her tears falling from her eyes. I can also hear her sobs.

Screw it I can't help it anymore. I don't care if she feels overwhelmed. I need to do something. I parked the car at the nearest parking space and hugged her tight.

" You are not alone. You have us. All of the members of BTS. You have Weki Meki and I. O. I" I told her

"I know, and I'm grateful for all of you. But I cannot just be dependent on you guys. I love each one of you but sometimes I just crave for a family. It's still different."

I can't see her like this anymore. I'll talk to Bang PD and try to convince him to tell Yoojung about their relationship as soon as possible.
