"Are you telling me you knew Cassidy Fort?" Patrick said, confused.
"Sh-she had seizures when I bumped into her at the train station. I-I just had to help her." Emma still in shock as she was explaining to him.
"Huh? What seizures? What the hell are you talking about?" He asked with arising temper.
"The doctor said that Cassidy had schizophrenia. It was the time I was on my way to your office. I-I held Cassidy's hand as I was helping her up, when suddenly she was screaming so loud-" Emma couldn't explain further as her thoughts were jumbled in confusion and fear.
"She never had schizophrenia. Wha- 'sigh' Are you sure it's her?" Patrick shook his head as he asked.
Emma nodded.
Suddenly, the people inside the house heard a strange noise.
All of the chairs were shaking.
"An earthquake?" Madame Fort with a worried tone.
"It's only happening here on the inside!" Someone by the door shouted.
After hearing what the man said, Patrick stared at Emma like he found out something. Patrick suddenly grabbed Emma's hand and hugged her tight.
Emma was in shock with what Patrick did. She was sitting there. Stupefied.
The shaking was gone.
Patrick's hug was getting tighter.
"Uh. Ow. Mr. Dawson. I can't breathe." Emma struggled.
"Oh. I-I'm sorry." Patrick letting go and fixing himself.
"Well then, we will also be needing your statement for testimony. You will also be helping me with the investigation along with some snooty SFPD Agent." Patrick explained to her.
"Anything to help." Emma still blushing.
Patrick checked his phone for a moment and put it in his pocket. "Let's go to the district infirmary to check with the medical examiner and Cassidy's autopsy report. He's also on his way." He whispered loudly in remorse.
Emma was staring outside the of the car's window, thinking about what happened earlier in the house. She thought of Patrick's face really close to her asking her about Cassidy. Suddenly, she remembered what happened in the train station and the shadow figure; the fear that enveloped her. She was quite sure she was about to die at that moment.
The district infirmary was rather a modern designed facility standing by the Springfield River. Everything was made of glass surrounded by rich greenery. Emma's eyes were glared by the reflection of the sun in the infirmary's glass as she was always marveled by what she's seeing.
Patrick finally parked his car and turned off the engine. "Prepare yourself. You're going to see a lot of dead bodies." Patrick warned her.
"Ooook. Dead bodies, huh?" Emma getting nervous with what she heard.
"You can do this, Emma." Whispering to herself.
Patrick suddenly knocked on the car window. "Let's go!" Patrick mouthed from the outside.
"The victim suffered a slash from her nape to her occipital bone." The medical examiner said.
"It's already been the third time someone was killed with a slash in that part of the head." Patrick added to inform Emma.
"So we have a serial killer at hand here?" Emma asked. "You could say that." Patrick confirmed.
"Cassidy died of excessive blood loss?" Emma asked.
