"Finally. How are you, Mr. Summers?" Emma asked in relief as she sees him open his eyes.
"Urgh. My head. That asshole kicked me in the head." Craig glanced at Patrick as he was touching his head.
"And you tried to shoot me. 7 times!" Patrick shouted at him.
"I-I don't remember doing anything like that. Besides, why would I shoot you!?" Craig was rubbing his head as he was trying to remember what happened.
"Well, it seemed you were hypnotized or was controlled by that shadow." Patrick followed-up and was calmer.
"Wha-what happened back there Mr. Dawson? How did you do that?" Emma turned to Patrick, her face full of questions.
Patrick stared at Emma like he was gathering his thoughts to say to her the right words. "Emma, what happened with you and Cassidy; and with us back in the office, those are because of your powers." Patrick said. "You're a psychic." He added.
"Wha-? Me? Psychic?" Emma shocked.
"Like you, I am also a psychic. I have the ability to move objects with my mind." Patrick said as he opened himself up to the two. "However, my ability has its limits. I can only move objects that are within weights that are humanly possible to carry." Patrick revealed. "Once I go beyond that limit, my physical and mental body will exhaust itself. Thus, the bleeding of nose and trembling of the body." Wiping his nose with the stains of blood.
"What does that have to do with me being psychic?" Emma still confused with what Patrick's saying.
"Apparently, you have the ability to boost another's psychic ability. It means, it can go beyond its limit and become more powerful without exhausting the physical or mental body." He said.
"Guys, we need to get out of here before the police gets to us." Craig interrupted.
"We'll continue this for later, Emma." Patrick grabbed her hand and ran towards the exit to the service stairs. When Craig opened the door, they heard noises on the lower floors. Craig peaked and saw police rushing towards them.
"Shit. We need to take another route." Patrick mumbled as he was checking the area. The other buildings were at least 30-50 meters apart. He turned at Craig and Emma as he was thinking of their estimated weights.
"Emma, I need your ability again to carry the three of us across the other building." Patrick demanded. "Bu-but how can I use it or turn it on!?" Emma protested. "You just got to focus and trust your instinct. Feel it from within." Patrick held both of her hands and close to his face. Emma gazed at Patrick intently and nodded.
"You ready?" Craig grabbed Emma's other hand and raised an eyebrow at Patrick. "Let's do this." Emma said.
The three ran towards the edge of the building's rooftop and to the last moment, they jumped. Emma's tummy was in rumble as she looked down, seeing the busy street below and full of people and media eavesdropping.
They made it across the other building and ran for the next building. After jumping to the second building, the three headed for the service stairs. "I'm not sure if I will get used to that." Emma said as she was catching her breath.
"We must get some answers from the hospital. I'm sure we'll find out something." Craig said as they entered the car after exiting the perimeter without getting noticed.
Emma was again staring outside the car window as they were making their way for the hospital. The sky was scorching red as the sun touches the horizon. The maple trees scattered across the city were like shining rubies and the falling leaves were fire balls falling from the sky. It was a beauty to watch.
