Emma opened her eyes and saw the ceiling of her living area. She turned to her sides and felt someone holding her arm. She saw Patrick on the floor sleeping while sitting by her, half-naked. Emma suddenly jumped to her feet. "Uh. Huh?" Patrick moaned as he woke up. He only opened his other eye as he was glared by the morning light. He explored his surroundings and realized where he was and he had no shirt on.

The two realized that everything in the living room was afloat in the air. "Emma. you need to relax." Patrick approached her in caution, touching her shoulders. Everything slowly went back to the ground. Emma was just hypnotized in Patrick's eyes. She felt at peace with him.

She suddenly snapped.

"Wha-what happened last night? Why don't you have any shirt on?" Emma cannot help but stare at Patrick's torso. "Your fever is shooting up and you were having chills. The heater was out since there was no electricity. You needed heat." He explained. "I see." Emma turned away. "Let me just make us breakfast." Emma turned for the kitchen. "Wa-wait. Are you feeling better?" Patrick grabbed her arm. Emma nodded and went for the exit.

"Emma! Relaaax!" She thought to herself, reprimanding while walking back and forth by the kitchen.

She was all over the place and could not let go of what just happened. Suddenly, Patrick knocked on the opened door. "Want me to help? You can just go ahead and sit at the nook." Emma followed Patrick's order and sat down. She took heavy breaths and watched Patrick cook their breakfast.

"So, you won't be coming to work today?" Patrick asked as he was heating the pan. "I must check on Professor Hobbs and ask him questions. We might get some answers." Emma answered.

"Let me know what happens, okay?" Patrick turned to look at her and smiled. "I will. You want me to come over to your office?" She asked. "It'd be better. I can watch over you." Patrick said as he was flipping the pan, making what seemed like grilled cheese. "Are you making grilled cheese?" Emma asked with her eyes shining. "Yeah. One of my breakfast specialties." Patrick finished one final flip and placed it on a plate. "This is my favorite." Emma grabbed it and had a bite. Patrick smiled at her while watching her eat.

9:30PM. Neurocorp was an astounding view even at night. Its modern, concrete-made structure was shaped like a wave or a letter 'N' on a bird's eye view. It was entirely colored gray like it was just a massive block of concrete. It's surrounded with luscious landscape like it was not sitting in the middle of the busy city. The lights were dimmed and the security was already having their rounds of checking the vicinity.

He was still in his office, dumbfounded with his discoveries as he was looking at his laptop screen. "Was this the result of all of my researches? Is this the answer I was looking for?" he thought to himself. "This could change and improve the accidental discovery of the Springfield Medical Team 30 years ago."

Suddenly, he heard a strange noise outside. He turned to his back and checked outside the glass walls of his office. Everything went silent and he saw no one. He closed his laptop and put it in his messenger bag as he stood up. He went closer to the door and once again checked if anyone was outside. He slowly turned both sides of the hallway and everything was dimmed. At the end of the dark hallway to his left, he saw something but could not determine what it was. He decided to go outside of his office and moved closer. He could hear his own footsteps as he was slowly approaching. His eyes suddenly grew and stopped. It was someone's foot. Someone was lying on the floor.

He turned around and ran to the other hallway. He made a left and went for the elevators. He stopped and pressed the elevator buttons several times but the two were shut off. He could hear footsteps coming closer to his direction. He was already sweating as his eyes were searching for the service stairs. He ran to the small alley beside the elevators and saw the door for the service stairs. He looked behind as he entered the door and saw a shadow approaching from the hallway.
