Chapter 4: Her name is
Alex took a bath as the maids took care of her clothing to be washed. As she washed off the grime and dirt from the day before, without the hat on,and without her hair in a ponytail, you could see how she was actually a pretty girl. She finished and got dressed in a white long sleeved button shirt that fit her like an oversized pijamas. She didn't mind wearing anything else as she walked out of the room where a maid was waiting.
"Giotto wishes to speak with you."She said. Alex groaned.
...
Giotto sat down in the meeting room sofa. G was with him,a blush still noticable on his cheeks. Giotto, now finding out the kid was a girl, didn't wanted to make her uncomfortable with the rest of the guardians around, considering they were all boys. With a knock on the door Alex walked in,much to Giotto's surprise just wearing the white long sleeved shirt. Though it covered her completely,G flushed red as soon as he saw her. He couldn't look at her straight. The maid closed the door behind them. There was an awkward silence before Giotto cleared his throat.
"Please,"He insisted. "Take a seat."Giotto said as he suggested the sofa infront of him. On the coffee table infront of it there were sweets and tea. Alex sat down on the sofa and glanced around. "Sorry that we confused you for a boy, just your clothing, and all..."Giotto muttered.
"It's fine."Alex said. Her voice was no longer disguised as a guy,and now sounded much softer. "That's the idea. If I'm going to get in trouble might as well the other me does it."Alex said.
"Right."Giotto said. He glanced at G,who refused to look at Alex. "Forgive him for walking in on you. We are truly sorry."
"Oh it's fine."Alex said as she crossed her legs and got comfortable. She smirked at G. "Maybe he liked what he saw."
"I'M TAKING A WALK."G said abruptly as he walked out, slamming the door behind him. Giotto sighed and glanced up. How to start the conversation.
"Don't be so shy. You seemed rather collected at the party."Alex said. She leaned in. "Now,what do you want so you can keep this a secret...and not turn me in."
"Well, how about by telling me your real name and purpose."Giotto suggested. Alex scoffed a bit before looking at Giotto straight in the eye.
"My real name is Alexis Capello. I steal from the rich to give to the poor, because the rich have more than enough on their hands."Alexis said. Giotto's eyes narrowed.
"Capello, that is the name of the Capello Company."
"Correct. I'm Leonardo Capello's illegitimate daughter." Alexis smiled a bit as she glanced up at the roof. "But that's between my father and I."
"I don't want to ask but..."Giotto muttered.
"It's fine. I can tell you,as long as you keep it a secret."Alexis said. "My mother was a servant in the household. While he had a wife,he and my mother had an affair. She became pregnant with me. Regardless I pretty much own the household, everyone does what I tell them to."Alexis smiled.
"Answer me this then,if you're the daughter of a multi-billionare who can easily get her way with whatever she wants...why would you bother in helping those people?"Giotto asked. Alexis' smile slowly turned into a frown.
"Because I've been in their shoes."Alexis said. Wondering his Giotto was convinced with her words, she stood up and turned her back to him. She unbuttoned her shirt, and before Giotto could complain, she lowered it to show her back. Much to Giotto's surprise,it was covered with scars and marks of different kinds, going all directions. Giotto simply had no words to respond. "Oi,I know they're bad but atleast compliment a lady."Alexis said as she quickly got her shirt back on and sat down. "When my mother found out I was pregnant, fearing for my father's reputation, she ran away. She married another man and together had my sister, but our lives were a constant hell."Alexis explained as she gritted her teeth. "My step-father would bring as much food as he could to the table, and one day was killed in an accident on his job. My mother was forced into selling her body to be able to buy bread to eat. My sister and I did odd jobs here and there."Alexis gave a wary smile. "I've done alot of stuff I'm not proud of to survive..." She then laughed at herself, which liften the depressing mood. "Seeing how I've tasted both sides of the coin,I decided that I would do my best to help them. My father knows I'm doing it,but he knows he can't stop me. So for his sake I dress up to hide my appareance and use a shortened version of my name as an alias,so if I get in trouble,I don't ruin his reputation, pretty clever huh?"Alexis asked. She tilted her head. "Was that enough reason for you?" Giotto had to think for a while before he could answer, choosing his words carefully.
"Many people would've broken by now if they went through what you did."Giotto smiled slightly.
"Yeah~"Alexis yawned as she stretched.
"You saved a friend of mine and his wife,so I wish to thank you."
"Oh those guys? Good to hear they're fine. Now I think I'll go get my clothes and head home."Alexis said as she stood up.
"Do you know who I am?"Giotto asked.
"Giotto, right? You're that guy that started a group called Vongola or something. Your name spreads like wildfire." Before Alexis could open the door,Giotto gave a sly smile and offered a tempting preposition.
"The Vongola is a vigilante group made to protect the weak from the abuse of others. Much similar to what you do. Would you like to join us?"Giotto asked.
