Oh man guys it's almost been a year since I have updated and I am so sorry! Life has been crazy stressful. I haven't given up I promise!
-6 months since Nya's death-
Ever since Nya was murdered the town of Ninjago was never the same. No one felt safe, not even the ninja. Everything just went spiraling and fear ran even more rampant than before. It was in control.
Being a ninja wasn't enough anymore. Losing Nya broke them, especially Kai and Jay. They weren't the same and that was expected. They were obsessed with finding who the now serial killer was. They wouldn't sleep or eat unless Sensei Wu forced them too. They had to gain vengeance for the one they loved and lost.
-
Jay looked over their murder board. Pictures of the now 4 victims including Nya were hung up along with news articles and any new developments. Every day they did their best to look for connections between the victims in hope of stopping the next murder from happening but it all seem so random and all over. They couldn't understand it."Kai this is hopeless we haven't found anything new or anything that connects the victims... we are never going too catch this guy and Nya will never be fully at rest." He said breaking down into a sob.
Kai frowned and ran a hand through his disheveled hair. He sighed in frustration and sadness. "I know Jay! I know! I just- We have to keep trying." He said burying his face in his hands.
-
Both males were in utter ruin. Their hair messy. The bags and dark circles under their eyes growing worse by the moment. It wasn't only physical but also mental. They were constantly fighting with each other, crying, or just simply silent. They wanted their old lives back. With everyone they loved.
"Kai, I'm sorry to interrupt but it is your turn to patrol... I know you don't want too and that it's dangerous but the people need us..." Sensei Wu told him as he peaked his head through the door.
Kai looked at Sensei his eyes narrow slits from pure exhaustion. His hair a chaos in itself. Everything about him was just off. "Ok...just give me a moment." He replied with a slow mostly dead tone.
His shaky hands put on the many loads of weapons. It was some form a protection. Sensei made sure that each ninja were properly equipped. He couldn't stand to lose another one of his students.

It was a dark normal summer evening. Anyone who hadn't be watching the news would assume everything was perfect. The air warm, the stars shone brightly and the crickets glimmered under the moonlight. A night that was splendid for a walk. Although no one could see it not after the fear this monster had created. No children laughing in the streets. No lights on in the houses, not even the sound of a dog barking, just untainted silence. It was nothing like Kai had experienced before,
but now it was common place. He had almost forgotten what a laugh sounds like or even a feeling of joy. A smile. Just anything with joy vanished down the deep void of emptiness that Kai had created in himself.Silence.
Kai's thoughts scattered and went deeper and deeper. Just as a rabbit hole. First he thought about joy then it led to Nya which led to anger then to depression.
Silence.
A tear dropped quietly in the rugged concrete below him. His movement slow and distracted. He honestly couldn't recollect where he was even going. It was mindless walking.
Silence.
The void of his loneliness only growing deeper. His sense of hopelessness teetering beyond his control. Everything Kai was before hand seemed to disintegrate before his eyes.
shink, shink
The sound of sharpening knifes forced Kai back to reality. His breath quickened as his face turned desperately red in anger. He pulled out his sword.
"Come out here you coward!"
Shink, shink
The sounds approached quicker. It's was an eerie sound almost indescribable.
Kai's eyes shot around like a maniac. He was determined to kill this person. They deserved to die. Deserved to feel the pain that they caused.
Kai stood in the same spot his eyes viciously tearing apart the scenery surrounding him... yet their was no one there.
At least no one he could see. Although his ears said otherwise. A deep, unrecognizable, raspy chuckle ran through his ears. It was a mans laugh. What a mistake to be had.
Kai jumped and looked around remaining in his defensive position. "Who are you!?" He declared bravely.
The man smirked a twisted smirk. It sent chills up Kai's spine. He could truly feel the evil aura this man possessed. It sent chills everywhere.
"Who am I? Oh how thoughtful of a question." The man sneered stepping out of the shadows, although. The suit he had on hid all his features. He would be completely undetectable even if someone lived to tell the tale. "Why the man who killed your sister of course. Oh how I miss that. To hear her screams. She was one who actually put up a fight. Poor girl, she just never was good enough, now was she?"
Anger coursed through Kai's veins. Fumes seemed to almost literally be coming off of him. "Do not talk about my sister like that! You have no right."
The man laughed and sneered once more. "Oh how I do...." he spoke dodging every move Kai had tried to lay on him. "I have every right." He said circling him.Kai rolled his eyes annoyed at the killers countless talking. He held his sword on the mans chest. "Stay back." He warned.
"Oh how cute..." the man smirked evilly. "You think that's going to save you?""
Hey again! I'm sorry if this is a crappy ending it was getting so long and I wasn't sure when to end it, but I hope you enjoy!
Thanks for those who have stuck with me! You are great! Love you all
Hopefully I can update quicker next time
PEACE! ✌️
