She was a simple girl. Wake up. Go to work. Go home. Eat. Sleep. There wasn't much else that she did. To say the least she was not an adventurous person whatsoever.

(Y/n) trudged up her steps. An exhausted expression on her face. She was so sick of the same old routine. She just wanted a little something new. All she did was work. She was trying to save up for a long vacation. Even if she was just going by herself she wanted to be as prepared as possible for the trip no matter how long it took.

Her key raddled against the wooden door as she unlocked it stepping into her humble abode. It was a small home, but perfect for her nonetheless.

She smiled as the familiar scent of vanilla filled her nose. She sighed as stress was immediately lifted from her shoulders. Her home was her safe place.

(Y/n) took off her jacket hanging it up. She took off her heels and sighed in relief making her way towards the kitchen.

Bang, Bang, Bang

She frowned looking towards the door. "Who could that be?" She asked looking at the clock. 10:30 pm. She didn't have anyone coming over. She never did.

Bang, Bang, Bang, Bang.

It got louder.

"Help!" A voice yelled through the door startling
(y/n). She jumped and slowly made her way back to the front door. "W-who's there?" She asked. She knew it was stupid but she didn't know what else to do

Bang bang...

"Help me! H-h-help me...." she heard the male voice come through ignoring her question. She jumped again at the sudden thud.

She slowly creaked open the door and peaked through it. She gasped opening it immediately getting on her knees. There was a man on her porch covered in blood and obviously passed out. Her breath quickened. "This can't be happening.... no...no.. stay with me. Ninjago needs you." She said gently placing him in her lap. She knew who it was. The red ninja. That was obvious. She ripped part of her shirt off wrapping it around where she thought the blood was was coming from. It was everywhere.
-
(Y/n) knew that she needed to get him to the hospital. Her heart raced as adrenaline pumped through her veins. She used everything she had to lean him against her. She stumbled down the steps of her home and to her car. Blood trailed everywhere and all over her nice work clothes but at the moment she didn't care. She stumbled finally opening the car door and setting him in the passenger side. She adjusted the seat letting him lay down. (Y/n) shut the door with a quick slam, running to the drivers side; her hands trembled as blood stained them. She started the car and off she went toward the hospital. She went as fast as she possibly could. Sure she wanted something new but this isn't what she meant.

—————
(Y/n) had arrived just in time. The red ninja or Kai as she now knew was slowly fading away, but managed to pull through since she arrived so quickly.  He had sustained 5 stab wounds to the chest/ throat area. The doctors were impressed that he managed to get away and make it to her house without passing out before hand.

(Y/n) was impressed as well, but she didn't understand. Why did he pick her door, out of all people on her street. She didn't know nor did she care to know.

She couldn't meet him! She didn't want to be involved in whatever chaos he was part of. Maybe that was selfish but she was terrified that the serial killer that tried to kill him in the first place would come after Kai again once he found out that he was alive. Or worse come after her since she was the one to save him instead of letting him bleed out.

Her hand trailed his face as his heart monitor beeped. He was handsome even when he was in this state. Even with his hair disheveled and tubes and wires attached to him every which way. Even with the scar that glazed over his eyebrow. She couldn't help but admire him as he rested. He had these soft light freckles that dotted the bridge of his nose and slightly across his cheeks. Brunette hair all fluffy from the doctors getting rid of any traces of blood. His soft tan skin that still held life because of her. He was adorable. She could only imagine how pretty his eyes were. She shook her head to get her thoughts away. She couldn't think of him that way. She had to avoid him at all costs. "Feel better." She whispered and left his room walking to the front desk.

He couldn't know it was her. No one could know who she was. Too risky. She was just glad she was able to help him, but she didn't want praise or recognition. Too risky.

The receptionist looked at her. "You did a good thing miss. What's your name so I can tell him what good deed you did? You saved him from the serial killer. You may have just brought the police closer to figuring out who this sick person is." She praised. (Y/n) blushed not being used to such praises. She shook her head. "No don't worry I don't want anything and I don't want people to know my name... just.. send his bills to my home.... I'll take care of it. Just please don't tell him anything about me. I don't want that." She said writing her address. Her hands and clothes still stained from his blood. She just wanted to go home. This day was too much to handle. "Here...wish him well for me." She said handing her the slip of paper.

Just like that she was gone. Out of Kai's life. Out of his families life:. Out of the ninjas. Gone, but what she couldn't leave was the fact she was forced into the killers life. Unknowingly. Her worst fear. The thing, or the person she thought she'd be safe from. They were coming. Surely they were she just didn't know it it, yet. No one did.
