Another chapter! Sorry it's been so long my mental health has been all over the place, but I have really grown to love this story above anything I have ever written. I think it really captures how much I have grown as a writer! This story is going to be my main focus so any others will be updated slower then this one. I hope you understand! Now on to the chapter...

~

Crowds surrounded her house, as the sirens blazed loudly announcing the presence of police  and the voices of her confused and scared neighbors seemed to echo and amplify in her head. Everything seemed to whirl around her in complete slow motion: the police running to her side, scanning the words written in blood, and asking her questions. (Y/N) remained still. Was this real? It didn't feel like it, she felt like she had suddenly become stuck as the main character in a horror movie. How could this happen, she thought she was safe. Her bravery and strength seemed to be crumbling before her and she couldn't help but watch it disappear from her sights. Not a crumb left.

(Y/N) felt a strong pair of hands grab her shoulders and gently shake her. Her thoughts vanished dragging her back into reality. Her eyes met some soft green ones. "Ma'am, we are hear to protect you, but please we need your help to answer some questions. You are safe," Sheriff Armstrong spoke soothingly. (Y/N) simply nodded, not realizing how much she had been shaking and crying. Her face was soaked with tears, and surely she looked a mess.

"Y-Yes sir..." Her eyes wandered around her as detectives were checking the room and the home for clues, while other reviewed her security footage. "Tell me what happened? Who do you think would do this too you and why," Armstrong said sitting beside her and taking out his recorder and a note book for notes. He wasn't sure that this was really the serial killer. He had never spared someone, never left a clue. This just seemed out of place, and he was suspicious of it being a prank entirely until he saw the footage. He only hoped this wasn't a separate incident. "Well..." (Y/N) started. From the begging god. How she was a normal girl until she took a plunge into being an unmasked hero. She then proceeded to tell him all the weird occurrences happened and how the whole story and started with Kai.

Awaken by sudden commotion the brunette rubbed his eyes tiredly. A sudden commotion sprang up and now his much needed nap interrupted. He felt as if he was just the background to the main event. He couldn't understand the chaos that erupted before his hazel irises.
"What going on?" He asked with a voice tweaked with exhaustion.
"He found her before we could."
"What? What are you talking about?"

Cole paused and looked at his disheveled brother.  His place by Kai'sside instead of Jay while he rested. Sensei Wu has made sure that no one was left alone. They all took shifts. One at the door, one watching over Kai, and the last one resting. There weren't many of them left. "Well... the girl. The girl who saved you. The killer found her, but he didn't kill her strangely. Police are investigating; trying to come up with a next move. They have to make sure this instance is actually connected and that she is telling the truth." The spiky haired brunette practically leapt from his bed. His wounds screaming at him. He was healing well but he wasn't invincible. It still would take time to be 100% again. "What?" He groaned and panted as Cole gently pushed him back to the bed making him relax. "We have to do something! I mean if it is her then she's in trouble, especially if he spared her once!" Cole nodded. "I know brother. Sensei is working on getting through to her and possibly stationing all of us at her house for protection."
"God save us all.." Kai muttered worriedly.
~
Hours had past since the big reveal of his mystery savior. Kai has wished that she didn't have to be exposed like that. It only would cause more issues and more danger. Maybe it was his survivors guilt but something just didn't sit right. He wanted to see her. Sure at this point he had the basic information about her and a old photo. He wanted to thank her himself after all.

He did his best to avoid the news and any media coverage about it. However curious he was he didn't want the media to sway his opinion of her. He wanted to meet the real her and not who they make her to be. Common sense to him but to others it didn't quite make sense. He knew that the news made up things, told false rumors and destroys a person entirely for their own gain. She didn't deserve that his angel in disguise. She deserved his complete and untainted gratitude. Perhaps now it was his turn to become her savior...

Sorry I know this chapter was kinda short but it was more of a filler to get everything rolling! Regardless I hoped you enjoyed! Feel free to tell me how you are liking it so far! Thank you

Much love
