|Trying bit of a different writing style, it kinda jumps around but I think it give a better overall view of the story- Let me know if you like it|
*Trigger warning*
Darkness consumed her as her body trembled. Yet she couldn't move. She couldn't scream and she couldn't even seem to bring herself to open her eyes. Something in her screamed; impossible.
-
He lurked in the shadows that's what always worked best for him. So far he had succeeded in killing a farmer, a doctor, a ninja, a construction worker, an inventor, and almost another ninja.Almost.
That word brought dread and loathing into his heart although it already lived there. How could the pesky ninja seemed to crawl away? He blamed his stupid self for letting him crawl away. It was angering. He got cocky. He got lazy. The pain should've been too much for Kai to handle; his body should have succumbed to the sheer horror placed upon it. His brain knotted in confusion. He simply couldn't comprehend how that boy made it; and how that girl had the audacity to put a damper in his streak. In his reputation.
A new target.
Death be her name.Hero's don't exist. That he would be sure of. This wasn't a win. It couldn't be a win, he wouldn't let the people of ninjago have hope. Hope died long ago with Nya. It was going to stay that way.
He stroked some hair out of her face a crooked tooth smile on his lips. How lovely she was. What a shame he had to destroy her piece by piece. She shouldn't have decided to be the Good Samaritan.
Stupid girl. Look what she created.
A beast, who would now blossom into a monster beyond repair. He couldn't be stopped, he wouldn't be stopped. He had a mission. A mission bound to be completed. And yet he hesitated the knife hovering over her throat. Hesitation was a feeling, a word, he rarely dabbled in. It was agonizing to hesitate. He imagined her smug, pretty, little face urging him to do it. Taunting him, proving his weak spot existed. Hesitation wasn't what he had planned, and now he wanted her to suffer. He was going to show her what she did to him. To show her who she made him become. This was her fault. His weakness so, why kill her now, easily and silently, when he could have a little fun with her? (Y/n) was going to know pain like no other. He'd be the master and she the rag doll. No one makes this killer weak. He refused to let her win this mind game.
-
Insanity. A word she would see within her reach and maybe even sometimes in her caring hands. Destruction. A word she would come to know very well. A word she would get used too.
Pain and suffering. Feelings she would endure till her last breath. She wasn't going down easily. No, she had to be an example to everyone. An example of disobedience. Of courage, and how it only winds you up dead. She started a war with him. A war she wouldn't win, and a war that would only end in her demise.
-
Relief flooded her body as the paralysis left as soon as it came. Her eyes flooded open with tears escaping. Her heart raced against the pace of her breath.Panic.
It wasn't an unknown feeling, but it wasn't a welcome feeling either. (Y/n) squeezed her pillow in her arms and closed her eyes; breathing in and out and in and out. Peace overwhelmed her body once again and she sighed.
Never had she ever experienced something so bone chilling, so sinister, so malicious; and yet she hadn't the slightest clue of what it was.Her eyes wandered around the room. They immediately stopped, and honestly she felt her heart stop too.
(Y/n) (l/n), I'm just here to cause a little trouble. Watch your back, I know what you did. Too bad you won't have your happy ending anymore.
Words that hurt. Words that sent aches down her spine. She felt like she could throw up. It was written in blood meaning it could only be from a single person that she feared the most. He had found her.
She screamed. She didn't understand how this could happen. She had alarms, security lights, and other things that should have gone off or something. She got out of bed and rushed down to the living room to look at the security footage.
Again the feeling of nausea overwhelmed her. The cameras didn't catch how he came in or left. It only showed what he wanted it to show. Him stroking her hair. Him coming centimeters from slitting her throat. And yet through it all. He never exposed a face. Never showed a feature. It was as if the killer was a simple shadow.
This was getting all too real. How did he know it was her that saved the fire ninja? How long had he been watching her?
*9-1-1, What's your emergency?*
-
Fear. That's what she had. Panic. Just the starts of it. All according to his plan.(Y/n) was going to hurt. She was going to feel the pain that no other victim had felt. He was going to crush her. Her dreams. Her hopes. Her happiness.
She messed with him. She thought she could deceive death. She thought she could be sneaky. Be happy. She couldn't take care of herself. She won't take care of others any longer.
Perhaps she had done one good thing for this killer within Him.
It was a spark.
A spark of inspiration. A spark of dedication. Patience. Torture. A spark of thrill. A spark of happiness. She brought out something in him he never thought would happen. He couldn't say he didn't like it. This darkness. It was consuming him. He wasn't always this bad but maybe he should have been.
Damage is what he started. It wasn't enough. It could never be enough, not anymore. Not with this darkness (y/n) had ignited.
Thanks to her, madness is how he would end this. If be ended this.
