The hospital stirred as news of the red ninja spread like a wild fire; as well as the mysterious (h/c) haired girl who saved his life and asked for nothing in return. How did she not want the praise? It was just a big mystery to all of Ninjago.

A soft beeping and humming of machines filled Kai's ears. Everything ached, he was so confused as his eyes adjusted to the bright white room around him. "Am I dead?" he wondered aloud rubbing his eyes, but promptly wincing as soon as he raised his arm to do so. "You are awake! You are finally awake!" a squeaky voice rang in a confused Kai's ears. His eyes slowly met bright blue ones. It was Jay and it looked like he had been crying. His eyes looking swollen and sore. His face red and splotchy. "Jay? What happened?"
Kai was honestly so confused on where he was, and why he was there. The medicine in his system honestly making his mind whirl at what it felt like a hundred miles per hour. He couldn't really focus. Jay chuckled tearfully at his confused friend. "You don't remember? You were attacked by that monster, yet somehow you stumbled to this girls house and she brought you to the hospital," he paused, "I thought I lost you! First my girlfriend, but almost my brother. You need to be careful!" Jay broke down into sobs. He buried his face in his hands. "I can't lose anyone else..." Kai sat up and looked at him. His mind slowly clearing as it all came flowing back. "Oh my... I really did almost die. I made it? I mean I remember knocking on the first house I saw with the lights on, but I don't remember anything after that.... Who was it? Can I meet her?" he asked. Jay wiped his eyes and chuckled. He missed Kai. He had been in a comatose state for a week and the doctors weren't sure he'd actually wake up. It was a scary time for the team especially since they had already lost Nya. It affected Jay the most, ever since that dark night he lost his sweet girl; Kai and him became the best of friends. They worked on murder cases together, they pulled each other out of madness, they motivated each other to keep going. So now that he was back and on the road to recovery it was the biggest relief and eye opener. The team decided it was best to go on patrol in pairs or not at all. Honestly they felt stupid for not doing so right after Nya's murder.
"Unfortunately, you can't meet her. She left as quickly as she came. I tried to ask the receptionist if I could know her name at least and she didn't even leave that. All she left was her address for your bills, but they can't disclose that for obvious reasons. She was the real hero whoever it was. You chose the right door to knock on. Anyway, how are you feeling?" he asked in a more relaxed tone then when he had first woken up. Kai looked at him. He was still perplexed you could read it all over his scrunched brows, squinted eyes, and straight lips. Why would this girl just save him, and take the extra step of paying for his medical bills and not want any kind of thank you? It just didn't really add up to him. "Oh, well I am feeling pretty sore, well actually really sore. I am just grateful that I made it. I just wish I could thank that girl."
"Yeah, I know what you mean. It kills me she doesn't know how grateful we are, but hey... lets just say this is our next mystery to solve..."

Vibrant blue stretched across the vasts horizon with fluffy cotton pillows dotting randomly through out. The songs of birds filled the air along with the scent of freshly cut grass and the softest hint of floral musk. It was the first beautiful, almost cheery, day that Ninjago had in a while. It was a weird change for sure. Although, there (y/n) was sitting on her porch basking in the sun trying to forget the scarring sight the played out just a week before. It had been so hard to get him off her mind, from having to get rid of all the signs of blood on the porch to trying to avoid all media. She could't stand the stories that were being made up about her. Of course no one knew that it was her, she was good at hiding it. It just made it harder not to expose herself on accident by saying something stupid. She was drowning in stress, worry, and every unhealthy emotion that you could ever possibly think of. Having the biggest secret that probably any one had ever had to deal with wasn't an easy feat for (y/n). Although she didn't regret her decision. Her adrenaline saved someones life. Sure it came at a cost, but no cost was greater to her then anothers life. She was proud of herself. Both her and the red ninja were now safe. At least that's what she was telling herself. Curious things had continued to transpire throughout the week following her valiant deed. Things would go missing from her house only to return a few hours to a few days prior to its disappearance. Her house inexplicably would be unlocked even though she swore she locked it, or she would wake in the middle of the night having a feeling of this presence around her. Some kind of dark aura and yet every time she walked through her house, turned on every light, checked the cameras, and searched every crevasse nothing would turn up. (Y/n) choked it up to her just being paranoid. She was safe. She had taken every safety precaution she possibly could. Once she did these steps it seemed to make it stop, melting her worries away.
She could take care of herself, right?
