Harry's P.O.V
Just as I passed by Cafe Madeira, I noticed a familiar face by the side of the road and immediately brought my car to a stop.
I opened the door and the figure gasped when they noticed me standing there.
"Barbara!"
"Harry!"
I reached out to hug the old woman. She used to work with me at the bakery in Cheshire before we moved here.
"What are you doing here?!" I excitedly asked her.
"I came to see my daughter!"
"That's great!"
"I know!"
"Why are we screaming?!"
"I don't know!"
We both burst out laughing as I hugged her once more. It was really good to see her again.
"So how's your mom?"
"She's great! She just got married!"
"Really?"
"Yes!"
"Oh thank the lord. She finally found someone better than that old blighter. No offence."
I smiled but there was something that didn't seem right. My sixth sense told me that something was going on. Now God knows what that meant.
I worriedly looked around but didn't see anyone or anything. My fear getting the best of me, I halfheartedly said goodbye to Barbara and drove out of there.
I came to the part of London where no one really came to. A few years ago, a bomb went off over here, taking away all the life present here. Now it's just a blackened and empty piece of land that always gave me the creeps.
I always feel like there's going to be a zombie crawling out of the sewer or jumping out of a window. Yeah, I know I'm weird, but it's not like my imagination stated the impossible.
As if right on cue, someone knocked on my window.
"Ahh! Someone, help! A zombie!" I screamed as I stumbled out of the car and ran as fast as Usain Bolt.
"Sir! Wait! We aren't zombies! We just need to talk to you!" A man yelled behind me. When I was sure that I didn't see any blood stains on his clothing, I walked back.
I mentally slapped myself for being so stupid. What kind of grown man believes in zombies these days? And leaves their car behind just for that nonsense reason? Wow, I really am dumb.
"Yes, what did you want?" I said as I regained my composure and pretended that nothing happened. Their faces looked familiar to me. I studied them closely and recounted my recent encounters and then it hit me. And it him me like a goddamn truck.
"Liam... Louis...?" I nervously mumbled. I couldn't help but look so weak. I calmed down a little when I remembered that I was Zayn's brother, and they possibly couldn't hurt me... Or could they?
"Heya Henry." Louis greeted. Seriously? Henry?
"Um it's Harry... Zayn's... Stepbrother?"
"Oh yeah, right. Zayn's stepbrother." Louis looked at Liam when uttering the last words and smirked.
"Um yeah... So..." I looked for words and tried to overcome my nerves.
"You lads looking good, eh?" I said as I put my hands on their shoulders and gave them a light squeeze. Judging from the looks on their faces, they didn't quite like that. Way to go, Henry.
"Yeah. So back to the point. We need to show you something." Liam said as he stood in front of me.
"W-What is it?" I looked around. Don't worry. They won't hurt you.
"Follow me." Liam said as he walked into the alleys. Not the alleys again.
"W-What was it?" I spoke, my legs shaking as I entered the place that I dreaded the most.
"This." Liam said as I was met with a hand to my face. I fell down to the floor due to the force that he had used on me.
No, no, please. This is even worse than before.
"Go a-away... I'm going to tell Z-Zayn..." I backed away from the two. Becoming nothing but a bundle of nerves.
They chuckled, as if the fear that they had of their boss had vanished.
"Let me go..." I pleaded.
Ignoring my protests, Louis picked me up and punched me square in the jaw. I squeezed my eyes shut as I tasted the tangy liquid in my mouth. This wasn't like what Zayn had done. He did it out of anger. But they, they did it intentionally. They did it for fun.
Liam mercilessly kicked me in my stomach, causing me to curl up in a ball, suddenly loosing all of my strength.
This can't be happening. Don't worry, Zayn will come get you. He'll save you from these bastards. He'll never let this happen to you.
"Get up Henry. Face us. Like a man." Louis said. I didn't even want to correct him this time. I pushed myself away from them, trying to escape reality.
One of them pulled me from my foot, and I let the tears fall, realising that there was no escape.
"P-Please." I choked out, my vision blurred, still wishing that Zayn would come. That Zayn would save me.
Unfortunately, they didn't listen and I was held up by my collar.
Louis grabbed my hand and twisted it. I screamed in pain and held my now broken arm close to me.
Could this get any worse? Yeah, it could.
Liam turned me around, and I felt a cold metal at the back of my head. A gun.
No. This can't be happening. This just cannot be happening. This is how all of my life had to end? And where is Zayn? Why isn't he beating them up and taking me away? Where is Zayn?
The question kept repeating itself in my mind. Why aren't they scared of him? Why are they doing this in the first place? For whom are they doing this?
It's okay. It's okay. It's okay. I kept repeating that in my mind, while it was clear. It simply can't be okay at this point. It just can't.
Liam moved the gun away from my head, and for a second, I took a breath of relief, but that was only for a second.
He swung his hand back and then, the cold metal hit the side of my temple.
I watched them leave as I fell down to the floor. Unconscious.
