Zayn's P.O.V

"Umm... Mum? I kind of have a crush on a guy..." Harry confessed to Anne.

My cheeks flushed with anger and some other feeling I couldn't really describe as I weighed the options of who it could be. The thought of it being me crossed my mind in the slightest but I quickly brushed it off, knowing that Harry would never like me while knowing what I do for a living.

I was standing still in the backdoor, coming back from receiving the new pistol and a few bullets a junior from the gang had come to handover to me in the backyard.

I knew that the way I was watching them was pretty stalkerish, but wasn't mastering that skill part of my job?

"That's okay sweetheart. I'd welcome him with as much love as I would if it had been a girl. I'm just glad you found someone." Anne said as she held Harry's hands.

I leaned against the doorframe, completely absorbed in Anne's words. I must say, I was really starting to like her. I knew that she could never take place of my real mother, but she was now digging up a place of her own, right inside my heart.

I didn't really hear many kind words about my sexuality, especially not from the people around me. Even though they never knew that I was homosexual, knowing that there was so much hatred in their hearts for people like me made me feel like I could never love the way I want to.

"But Mum... There being something between us wouldn't be right. I-I mean that it could damage the relationships of people that I care about very deeply." Harry looked down, his lips quivering a little.

Anne placed her index finger on Harry's chest, more towards the left. "Always follow your heart, and do what feels right."

Harry nodded, not looking up until Anne placed a finger under his chin, to have him meet her eyes.

I felt something in me sink at the sight of Harry's eyes that were glistening with tears, as one escaped and went down his cheek, which was quickly wiped away by Anne.

"You know I'd love you no matter what, right?" She smiled sadly.

"I-I do. I do." Harry nodded, pulling his mother into a tight hug.

I smiled at the sight, then remembering the things in my hand as I discreetly climbed up the stairs and put them in the last drawer of my vanity.

I put on my watch and some cologne as I grabbed my car keys and went downstairs to find the mother and son still wrapped tightly around each other as they silently cried into each other's shoulders.

I came and stood right in front of them to express my views.

"Okay, okay. Enough of these emotions." I shivered.

"Time to cheer up!" I announced as I pulled Harry outside by his wrist and basically shoved him into the passenger seat.

"W-Where are we going?" Harry asked, anxiously wiping off the tears on his cheeks in the hopes that I didn't see him crying.

"You'll see." I smiled, being in a strangely good mood today.

I started driving, turning on the radio and humming to the beat of 'Can't Stop The Feeling' by Justin Timberlake, in the hopes that Harry would break a smile and go back to normal again.

Instead, Harry remained quiet, nervously playing with the rose ring I had given him.

I parked a few meters away from our destination due to the amount of traffic ahead. It was only a five minutes walk from there.
