If The Stars Were At Fault

If the stars were at fault

Their eyes met, their mind was set

They hated each other from the start.

They’d argue, oh they’d spar to death

Their story was a world apart.

She was different, so was he

No, they never bothered to talk

They fought for all the world to see

Their keys never fit the other’s lock.

Maybe it wasn’t meant to be,

Maybe the stars were at fault

But her love for him was for the world to see,

He brought her gaze to a halt.

She hated him, oh, loathed him

Oh, how dare he make her feel this way!

Yet, when he kissed her as the light grew dim

Their feelings were as clear as day.

People laughed: But, of course!

Happen this obviously would!

Their hate was gone, no remorse,

Their love would grow as much as it could!

They’d fight and kiss, hit and miss,

They’d had many a heart-to-heart.

Soon united, in a wedding bliss,

Yes, their story was a world apart.
