Ignoring Human Voices.
Ignoring human voices,
lest they stop me when i drown,
smiling at your smile,
but outwardly i only frown.
trying to blend in,
only to stand out.
no reasonings i apply,
with mere whims to confine,
hidden deep within the shadows,
are the many walls mine.
your loss is my gain,
together alone we reside,
enjoying the explosions,
when our two worlds collide.
silently dying,
when the tide rises around the town,
because i'm ignoring human voices,
lest they stop me when i drown.
mapping our plans onto our skin,
our hatred serves as ink,
the mirror does not reflect our darkness,
nor does it show how into it we sink.
rusted lies the iron within,
tarnished silver in our soul,
wilting flowers in our minds,
picturing oblivion makes us whole.
dreams of buildings burning down,
but only those which denied us home,
so through the streets and between the lines,
alone and aimlessly we roam.
staring into eternity's face,
wearing my emotions like a wedding gown,
still ignoring human voices,
lest they stop me when i drown.
