As SweetPea finishes wrapping up my wrists, he cups my hands into his and places a kiss on them. "I won't let them hurt you anymore Shana." He promises me. Just after that Toni walks in with some balloons a teddy bear, and a get well soon card. "Hey girl," she smiles at me. SweetPea leaves the room so she and I can chat. "How you holdin up?" Toni plops on the bed handing me the card. "I'm glad I'm out of there, Thanks." I give her a side hug before opening the card. It had some cheesy quote inside, but names of serpents we surrounding it. "Wow did you ask the Serpents to sign their names?" I smile at her and she nods. "SweetPea was the first to sign it." She tells me pointing to his name. "So what's up with you two?" She asks me clearly noticing me blush. "We uh... kissed a few times." I tell her chuckling. "What?" Toni squealed in excitement. "Oh my god when?" She asks me, her eyes twice as wide. "Before I went to the sisters was our first kiss, then earlier today..." I pause chuckling awkwardly. "Oh my god does Fangs know?" She asks. I put my finger to my mouth. "Shhh!" "Your secret is safe with me," Toni promises. "Hey I think I know what will make you feel better." "What?" I ask looking up at a smiling Toni. "A trip to the Whyte Wyrm!" She smiles. "But what about..." I pause looking at my bruises. "Hey nobody is gonna laugh at you for your battle scars." She tells me grabbing my hands. I nod and she takes me to my closet. "Let's get you something to wear."

I ended up choosing my white ripped jeans. A white crop top and my Serpent jacket. Toni and I walk into the Wyrm. All eyes immediately turn to us. Some of the Serpents look at me with pity in their eyes, others with welcoming expressions. "Shana, good to see you back," Tallboy walked through the crowd, shaking my hand. "Good to be back," I chuckle. "Cmon, lets get you a drink," Toni grabs my hand pulling me. We sit down at the bar table as Hog-Eye turns around. "Shana! Welcome back." He smiles. "What can I get you ladies?" He asks. "I'll have a water, I don't feel like drinking tonight." I sigh turning to see sympathy in their eyes. They understood my parents had a drinking problem. "I'll get a water too," Toni tells him. Hog-Eye nods and gets them a cup of water. I take a sip of my water. "So when do you think your gonna go back to school?" Toni asks. I chuckle, "I haven't even figured out where I'm going to live, since my parents don't want me in the house." "Didn't you hear? SweetPea and a bunch of Serpents drove them out. They won't be coming back anytime soon." Toni tells me with pride. "Well that's one problem solved, but what am I gonna tell the teachers at SouthSide High? Hi sorry I missed so many days of school, my parents just sent me to The Sisters Of Quiet Mercy to get rid of me." I say sarcastically. "Say you were on vacation." She suggested. "I guess that'll have to do," I sighed. Toni and I talked all night, until it was time to go home, she drove me back to SweetPea's place since Fangs and I were gonna crash there for the night.
