A sleepover gone wrong

Time skip to when Toni becomes a vixen and the southsiders are at riverdale high

   Toni and I exit the doors of SouthSide High with smiles on our faces. We finally became Vixens and Cheryl has invited us to a sleepover. "We did great," I laugh giving her a high five.
We giggle and walk down the steps to Fangs with his truck. "I thought I'd never live see the day that both of my favorite girls would be joining the river Vixens." He chuckles messing with my hair.
  "Same here." I respond. "I call shotgun!" I yell racing to the door.
  "Hey no fair!" I hair Toni whining in the background. We all laugh and drive to my house in silence.

  I sit on my bed with Toni "I don't know what to wear to the sleepover.." I sigh looking at Toni.
"Simple," she rolls her eyes as if it were obvious, then walks into my closet laying an outfit onto my bed.

I stare at the outfit and give Toni an amazed look. "Oh my god I completely forgot about this outfit!" I exclaimed. Last Christmas Toni gave me these but I never wore them because I always went to bed in the clothes from that day. "Thanks Tones," I smile.
"Yeah no problem, I'm gonna go home and get ready myself. See you at the ThistleHouse." She waved goodbye exiting my room. I change into a black dress for dinner and pack my pajamas in my bag for when we go to sleep.

I take a bite of the food awkwardly as silence fills the dinner table. I clear my throat trying to make small talk. "The dinners great mrs Blossom." She doesn't respond but I could've sworn I heard her mutter "You wouldn't know what great food tasted like, Serpent."
I don't respond and eat my food in awkward silence.

After dinner we change into our pajamas and go to Cheryl's room.
We're sitting at the foot of her bed brushing each others hair when Cheryl stands up. "Inner circle, cousin Betty.. I didn't just bring you to ThistleHouse for a girlish slumber party," she starts. "The truth is, I'm terrified of being alone here." I exchange a glance with Toni before turning back to Cheryl. "There's a stranger in this house, my Uncle Claudius. He's as mad as the sea, and ever since he blew in I feel like I'm in Mortal peril.
Toni speaks up. "Wait I'm confused is this real or are we playing a game?" Toni asks clueless. I sigh.
"All to real TT." Tears fill in Cheryl's eyes but she refuses to let them flow. "I feel they're plotting against me and nana rose. Mumsy cultivates esoteric herbs in the conservatory. Tania root, jimsonweed. I'm afraid to eat for fear of being poisoned. That explains why she wouldn't even touch her food.
"Cheryl are you sure your not just imagining things?" Josie asks eyeing her.
We all turn to Josie. "Well if she is then I'm imagining things too." Betty chimes in and I look at her confused. "There's a stranger in my life as well." She refers to chic her Long lost brother. "Chic. With him lurking behind every corner, my house feels-"
She was cut of by Cheryl who nodded her head in understanding. "Dangerous, deadly." In my mind I thought back to my parents. Only Toni knew about that. I spot from the corner of my eye Toni glancing at me but I ignore it and refuse to make eye contact. "I sympathize." Cheryl sighs looking at Betty. After that we all decide to call it a night and head to sleep. I couldn't though so I lay in bed awake listening to Cheryl and Toni talk. I smile to myself before hearing a loud crash. All of us run out of the room and look down the stairs to see Nana Rose lifeless on the ground and her wheelchair knocked over. Cheryl screams and I cover my mouth with my hand in shock. I call 911 and we rush down the stairs to Nana Rose. Except for Toni who was comforting Cheryl. After I called 911 I rang up SweetPea to come pick me up after questioning. It took way longer for Toni and I to get out because we were Serpents of course but finally they let us free. I run into SweetPea's arms and let the tears fall that I was holding in this whole time. I didn't know the woman but still seeing her there made me think of my grandma who died in a car accident when my parents were driving.
Flashback (third person)
"John slow down please," Wilma croaked at her son in law.
"Can it mom, we need to get you to your stupid book club so John and I can get home." Lily snapped at her mother looking back on the road.
"John would you please slow down? There's ice on the road and you don't even have your lights on.." she begged him.
And just like it was planned the car swerved and the back side of the car hit a tree crashing into Wilma. Lily screamed. "Mom no!" She burst into tears and started hitting John. "How could you?" She repeated over and over again. John grabbed her hands.
"We gotta get outa here hon, before anyone sees us here." He tells her and Lily nods getting out. They run into the woods to their trailer.
Flashback over
I let go of him and he can see the sadness in my eyes but didn't understand why I was so upset. "Cmon let's get you home." He whispers holding my hand as we walk to his bike.
On the ride I cry on his jacket as I wrap my arms around him tightly.
When we get home I still hadn't stopped crying. Fangs comes out and when he sees me he rushes over with worry. "What happened?" He asks SweetPea.
"Nana Rose fell down the stairs and is at the hospital right now." Pea explains. Fangs pulls me in for a hug and I cry into his shoulder.
"I miss grams." I simply whisper into his ear and he holds me tighter. The abuse and excessive drinking started after grandma died. It was when everything changed.
Fangs leads me inside and I go straight to my room and hop in bed. I stare at the ceiling and hear a knock at the door. SweetPea opens it walking in and sitting on my bed. I sit up and plop next to him. "So are you gonna tell me what that was about or not?" He asks looking at his hands.
I take his hands on mine and we look into each others eyes. "It reminded me of my grandma.." I sigh and continue. "She died in a car crash. That- That's when the abuse started.." I sigh looking down.
He cups my face and places a long passionate kiss on my lips. "I'm sorry about your grandma, and as for your parents.. I will never let them hurt you again." He vows.
"And that is why I love you SweetPea," I smile.
"I love you too Shanara Fogarty." We pause and we stand up. SweetPea pushes me against a wall kissing me wildly. He is about to lift up my shirt when I stop him.
"I-I can't, I'm sorry..." I sigh.

"Oh uh yeah I forgot, sorry.." he chokes out embarrassed by his actions.
"Oh SweetPea it's okay, I just don't believe in underage sex." I say truthfully.
"Yeah okay, I still love you no matter what." He smiles and kisses me again.
I know my friends are fine with underage sex but I'm not. I mean I believe you should only have sex when you get married to someone. But that's just my opinion.
We get in bed (I'm fine with them sleeping in the same bed just not doing the dirty lmao) and watch an old movie called Seven brides for Seven brothers. It was great but I ended up dozing off into SweetPea's arms.
At the end of the day I got to enjoy my night with one of my favorite people in the world.
