Stiles couldn't believe what he heard. A while ago he didn't even know werewolves existed. All of this information all in one made his head turn left and right. He almost felt as if he had a panic attack.. His head twisted and turned too fast and his movements were out of hand. Nothing made sense and everything was wrong. He decided it would be best to walk away from it all. He struggled to find any truth in it all and stumbled down the road to escape. Derek called for him.

"Hey!"

"No. I need some time, okay?" Stiles got out.

Derek looked at Scott who immediately glanced away as if he didn't want to get invovled. In that moment, Derek decided to leave Scott behind. He followed Stiles, running fast to catch up.

"Go away!" Stiles shouted.

"No,"

Stiles finally sat down on a rock close to him and Derek too joined him. The boy wasn't crying and he did not seem close to, but he seemed very angry..

"Give me a hug," Derek tried cheering him up the only way he knew..

Stiles could not help not to chuckle to what he had just heard come out of Derek's mouth. He opened his arms and returned what became a long hug.

"I love you too," Derek then whispered to Stiles.

"You're joking right?" Stiles just wanted to make sure..

"Yes,"

It did not need to be said. They both knew they loved each other. Derek, who always protected Stiles. Stiles, always being there when Derek needed to let words out he did not know how to put.. Stiles knew that Derek was secretive in his way of living and that so was his feelings; they were buried down for no one to see. That was what made the two very different but that was fine. No one is perfect, that goes for everyone. What you may see if troubling, another may love.

Stiles, being the kid he was in Derek's eyes made his world a tiny bit more glamorous. Derek was not exactly new to this whole love thing but Stiles made him see the world in another perspective. A kind perspective.

Derek growled. He looked over to his side and there lied a brown arrow tightly put deep in his skin. Blood dripped down his arm and Derek's eyes shifted color due to the pain causing him to lose control over his abilities.

"Holy crap!" Stiles got out.

Another shot from far away hit his arm.

"Who are you! Show yourself!" Stiles shouted.

And soon enough, a woman showed herself in the distance. She walked closer and closer and carried the bow and same arrows that had hit Derek's arm. She seemed to be about the same age as Derek and by the look on her face--she wasn't to play with...

The pain ate Derek from the inside and he howled once more.

"Ew," she said coldly.

"I know!" Stiles trembled, as if he was about to faint.

Derek turned slowly to see who it was as by the voice he seemed to recognize her.

"Kate?"

"I didn't see you there, Derek," the woman, who seemed to have the name Kate, said sarcastically and looked into the bleeding wound.

Derek screamed again and held his hand over the wound.

                                                                                *

It had been a while since the horrific Kate incident. Derek was sat on a tree branch with Stiles, thinking it all over again in his head. Bullets normally were easy to pull out as the pain then quickly vanished due to his very powerful werewolf skills--this one however, did not go out as quickly. The face expression of Stiles after he had taken the bullet out was quite priceless, Derek must admit.. But, things had not been the same since..

"It's going to be okay," Derek comforted.

They continued to look at one another without saying anything more. It made Derek feel warm inside--happy even... There was just something about Stiles that made him feel youthful and cheerful. Stiles, however, still was deeply hurt and confused. He looked away suddenly, breaking their eye contact and building bond. He felt Derek's hand on his shoulder and of how Derek made him turn his face to look at him once again.. Without much thinking, they both closed their eyes. Derek gripped Stiles' hips and pushed the boy forward. He leaned in and kissed his lips softly.

Stiles looked up to him in confusion afterwards, as if he had not decided whether what had just happened was right or wrong..

"What was that for?" Stiles sounded angry.

"What?" Derek seemed unsure.

"Don't you think I have it rough enough with Scott?" Stiles paused. "I still take pills to calm down. I miss my mom! I cry--and I get these crazy panic attacks..." he continued. "The last thing I need is for our relationship to be confusing!"

"I'm sorry," Derek apologized and slowly let go of Stiles. "I should go." he then voiced.

Stiles didn't answer him.

"Sorry again," Derek apologized once again before leaving.
