Accidental Vampire

Nova wakes up screaming. Theo shoots up at her distress.

Theo asked, "Are you okay?"

Nova says, "Yeah. It was just a nightmare." Theo's alarm starts going off.

Theo says, "At least you woke up in time."Nova gets up and brushes herself off.

Nova says, "I'm going to go and get ready. You should do the same." Theo nods his head and Nova walks out of his room to hers. She quickly hops in the shower and uses her vampire speed to quickly get done. Nova puts on her uniform and puts the staff pin on the left side of her blazer above the school emblem. She blowdries her dark hair and styles it. She doesn't put on any makeup as she hates the idea of putting anything on her face besides moisturizer. She admires herself in the mirror and walks out of her bathroom to get some stuff. She puts hand sanitizer and chapstick in her pocket. She never travels without those two things it's like leaving without pants on.

Nova walks over to Theo's room and walks in. She walks in only to see Theo wrapping a towel around his waist. He doesn't even seem to notice her until she yelps out of surprise.

Nova squeals putting her arm over her eyes, "I saw nothing!" She stands there thinking about how she saw a very prominent v line. Theo removes her arm from her eyes and he's suddenly fully dressed.

Theo says, "Your face is very red."

Nova snaps, "Well duh I just saw a half-naked man!"

Theo says proudly, "And you liked what you saw. I can't help it I'm sexy." The redness of Nova's face deepens. Theo walks over to his desk and grabs his keys. She takes one of his pillows and throws it at him. It hits him on the back of the head and he just puts it back on the bed.

Nova asks, "Can we just eat and head out there." Theo nods his head and they walk to the kitchen to get a blood bag before they go.

After they ate they headed out to Theo's car. It's a small black car with very tinted windows. The car resembles what one would think the FBI drive. They both get in and head to a park Matei sent the location of.

When they arrive Theo says, "If anyone asks you what's up with your eyes you tell them they are contacts. You can tell your brother, but don't say anything to anyone else okay." Nova nodded and they get out of the car. Nova's wondering to herself how they look all dressed up in a uniform in a dark car. She spots Matei, and Matei senses her at that moment. They all walk up to each other.

Matei asks surprised, "You're a vampire?" Nova nods her head.

Nova says, "Before you ask we don't know for sure what's up with my eyes. We think I was born with vampire genes." Nova looks up and looks her brother in the eyes. Matei's expression turns to shock.

Matei asks, "Who turned you?"

Nova says, "Theo did. I was at a bar, but he actually helped me. Since you left everything went to hell. Mom and dad split up and my whole life started crumbling." Matei apologizes. Nova says, "It's not your fault. None of this is your fault. I'm enjoying my life at school, and I'm actually working there now." Matei looks at his sister proudly. They hug for a while and pull away.

Theo says, "If you are both vampires he should have white eyes as well."

Nova explains, "Not necessarily. You see me and Matei are only related through our dad. My mother is probably the one with the gene, but that is unfortunate in itself."

Matei asks, "How come?"

Nova hesitantly says, "Mom took her own life after the divorce." Matei's face is in shock again. Matei has a single tear stream down his face.

Matei says, "This is all my fault." Nova hugs him.

Nova says, "None if it is your fault. You didn't want us to get involved in the vampire business. You did the only thing you could. Don't blame yourself." Matei composes himself and smiles weakly at her.

Matei says, "You've been doing really good for yourself. I'm proud."

Nova says, "Thank you. You have as well I see." Matei nods his head.

Theo leaves the two at the park for a while and he goes out and buys Nova a new phone. The people in charge of her belongings had lost it, so he bought her a brand new one. He bought her an iPhone X. He much rather prefers apple over android.

The apple store lady asks, "Who is this for?"

Theo says, "The one. Her phone got lost by someone and I brought it upon myself to get her a new one." The lady smiles and puts the phone box in a bag. Theo then drives back to the park but hides the bag in the center console. Nova is sitting on a bench laughing. This puts a smile on Theo's face. He walks over to them.

Theo says, "I'm sorry to interrupt, but I have a meeting in an hour that I need to prepare for. We really have to get going." Nova and Matei stand up and say their goodbyes.

Theo says holding a hand out to Matei, "It was really nice seeing you. It was very nice seeing a former student doing well."Matei takes Theo's hand and shakes it. Matei then walks away.

Nova says, "I didn't know you had a meeting."

Theo shrugs, "It won't be a long one. I say an hour at most." Nova intertwines her hand with Theo's and they walk back to the car. Theo asks, "Was it nice seeing your brother again?"

Nova says, "Yes it was. If only our parents could see him." They get in the car and continue their drive back to the school.

Meanwhile at the school.

Queen Elouise asks, "Is the girl of vampire relations?"

Zyla says, "Yes. You may begin your tests now a mother."

Elouise says, "Perfect."

Zyla says, "I do feel bad about this mother. I am her friend after all." Elouise slaps Zyla.

Elouise says sternly, "Your brother is an exception, but your young lady is not to go against me. Don't you even think about telling Theo of my plans or I will end you myself." Zyla nods with tears in her eyes. She looks down at the floor not daring to look at her mother. Elouise continues, "Theo is the only one of you that matters. You, however, are simply here to aid me. Now dear go do your job." Zyla scurries out of the room to do as her mother says. Zyla is scared to death of her mother. After all her mother even occupied the idea of using Zyla as a prostitute.

Zyla can't help but wonder what her mother has in store for Nova, and if Nova could ever forgive her for being quiet about her plans. That night Zyla cried herself to sleep.
