I received a message. *1 NEW TEXT* opening it I got worried and I knew Luke was looking too.

I’m not coming back.
Sending the message tears rolled down my face. Remembering the bruises he used to give me. Luke looks and my neck and pointed to a largish bruise there. ‘Did he do that to you?’ I nodded slowly and put my head in my hands crying. I then felt 2 strong arms around me; I looked up and saw Luke hugging me.
‘Hey, don’t cry, I’ll always be here for you, I promise.’ I hope he keeps that promise. I’m really starting to like him. ‘Okay. Make sure you keep that promise Luke.’ When we get home it was late. I had a quick shower and put on Luke’s track pants and my tank top. I went to get into my bed when Luke walked in and said, ‘Hey, come sleep in my bed tonight?’
I got up and climbed in bed after him. He took off his shirt revealing his hard and tanned chest. I felt his snake his arm around my waist and pull me closer to him. He’s honestly so warm. It wasn’t until now that I realised I do like him. A LOT. But he’ll never like a runaway like me.
Luke’s POV
‘Hey, come sleep in my bed tonight?’ She got off her bed and climbed into mine; I took off my shirt and went in after her. I wrapped my arm around her and pulled her closer gently. I then kissed her bruise on her neck. I am going to keep this promise with her. I really like Skyla. She’s so beautiful. I can’t believe someone like her was bullied so much. I got a text on my phone. *1 NEW TEXT*
I opened it and smiled.

I felt her turn around to face me, she leaned her face in a kissed me. As soon as her lips left my face, the spot felt like it was on fire. I like her a lot. I moved my face into hers and our lips attached. The kiss was perfect. Her lips mould perfectly with mine. When I pulled away for air I kissed her forehead and said, ‘Goodnight beautiful, get some sleep.’ She giggled and said, ‘goodnight Lukey, seeya tomorrow.’
NEXT MORNING
I woke up when a sun-ray hit my face. Sky still asleep next to me in my arms. Her hair covering the front of her face. I moved the hair and saw another bruise on her face. I never noticed it yesterday. She must have put make-up over it.
‘Good morning Lukey’ I looked into her bright blue eyes. ‘Good morning Sky’
I ran my hand over her bruise. She flinched when I touched it. ‘I promise you Skyla Morris, I will never ever do that to you, ever.’ She nodded and gently kissed my lips. I ran my hand in her hair. God this girl drives me crazy. When she pulled away her blue eyes were shining. We got out of bed and went to eat breakfast. We both ate our cereal and then Skyla went to get dressed. I went up to my room and I accidently walked in on her getting changed. ‘Oops sorry Sky’
She giggled and said, ‘Don’t worry Lukey.’ We’re going to the beach today. She put on her floral bikini. My god she has an amazing body. She notices im staring and giggles. I feel my cheeks burn up.
‘Nice ass you got there Sky’ did I wanna sound any more creepy?
‘Uhm thanks?’ she walked out fully clothed and let me get changed.
Skyla’s POV
‘Nice ass you got there Sky’ I giggle at Luke’s cute and perverted comment and quickly get out of his room so he can get changed. I walk down stairs and see Jai and Beau. I haven’t really spoken to them so I’ll start a conversation. ‘Hey Jai’
‘Hey Skyla, you look very nice today.’ ‘Naw thanks JJ’ I get another text today. *I NEW TEXT* I open it and gulp.

WHERE ARE YOU!!! IM COMING TO GET YOU SO I CAN SEND YOU WITH YOUR SISTER!
I didn’t even reply. I immediately started crying. Jai wrapped his arms around me. ‘What’s wrong Sky?’ I showed him the text and told him about my sister. He got so worried. I thought it was only fair to tell him and Beau. They both wrapped their arms around me. I stopped crying and Beau said,
‘Did your dad put these bruises on you?’
I nodded and a few tears ran down my face. Beau wiped my tears. Not long after Luke came out of his room. He was carrying his penny board. ‘I didn’t know you skate Lukey.’
‘Yeah I do, do you?’
I giggled and nodded, ‘Only since I was 6’
He asked where my penny is and I told him it got stolen while I was walking. Beau said, ‘Hey you can have one of mine, I rarely use them anymore.’ We went up to his room to see at least 20 penny boards on his wall. He walks up to a fully customised pink and purple with galaxy stickers one. I love it!! He pulls it off the wall.
‘Here you can have this one.’
‘Thanks Beau, you don’t have to give me this.’
‘I know, but I want to.’
We walk down stairs and go out of the house. We jump into Beau’s car where Luke and Jai are waiting. I sit next to Luke in the back and he wraps his arm around my waist. I look at him and smile. He smiles back. I notice Beau looking at us in the mirror and winks at me. I text Jai.

I heard Jai chuckle and a saw typing. I felt my phone buzz and I opened the text.

I blushed and giggled to myself. Luke’s hand that was on my waist is now tickling me. I started laughing. ‘Stop Luke.’
‘Only if you say, Luke is the sexiest guy alive, I love him so much’

Beau snapped his head around and said, ‘Shut up geez, go be lovey dovey somewhere else.’ I giggled and blushed and Luke hit Beau on the back of his head. *NEW TEXT*

Luke kissed my cheek and my bruises again. I love it when he does that. It makes me feel safe. And I know I’m safe when Luke, Jai and Beau are around.
