Explanation

You guys deserve an explanation to everything just in case you still don't get everything.

Kyl'maya is pronounced like Kyle-maya.

Xerxes is Zer-Sees.

Maya grew up a rough life which is why she is the way she is now. It will be explained more in the following chapters but basically her mom is bipolar and her dad only wants her to be the best at everything, which is why she was able to defeat Richard. Her dad trained both her and Nate since they were little. That's why she's mainly with Jax in the flashbacks and pictures, Alpha Lucas said she didn't need to grow up like that.

Maya was confused as to who she would be with because she didn't know Leilani had put the bond between her and Altair and she thought it was the moon goddess who paired them together. She knows Altair better which is why she was "stuck" between him and Xerxes.

Another reason she was scared to be with Xerxes, besides him being the enemy, was because of his reputation with females and his brutality which will be shown a little later on into the story.

Altair was promised her by Leilani who didn't know that she would get a mate at first. Leilani is a seer and witch so she seen how powerful Maya's witch side would be before she was born. Leilani figured that Altair would be able to help Maya out which is another reason why she offered Maya as he new beloved. She could also see that the vampirism wouldn't kill her like it would a normal werewolf.

Xerxes is a very aggressive person seeing as he is an Alpha King and was raised much different from other werewolves because of his duty and reputation. He is a man that will take by force if need be but his story will be later on as well.

Maya and Aida will NOT be mating in the story so sorry for the "Maida" fans, by the way that was a cute ship name❤️.

When Aida kissed Maya it was so she could breathe underwater and the only reason Maya was attracted to her was because Aida is a siren and they lure men to themselves but since Aida likes females it works on them and males alike. Sorry for any confusion on that part.

Altair will be coming back eventually.

Yes Maya will be choosing between one of them by the end of the story. I'm trying to go to at least 35-40 chapters and possibly make another book but we'll see.

Maya's dad is usually out in another country taking care of pack business so he won't be making too many appearances in the story.

There's going to be more flashbacks in the story so you guys can understand better you just have to bear with me while I write everything.

Also Maya is a hybrid of witch, werewolf, and vampire. They all work together in a way, it'll be explained in the book soon.

When she wanted Altair to mark her it was because of her heat, and the bond between them. She acts different ways to Xerxes and Altair because of her history with both of them. Altair having known her for her entire life and Xerxes being the enemy I mean.

She's also afraid of Xerxes because of how he acts and he is very aggressive.

Altair isn't a bad guy and he didn't do anything to make Xerxes not want Maya or vise versa but that will also be explained later, probably closer to the end of the book.

Andddddd another thing I wanted to mention was that for werewolves the legal age for almost everything is 16 and your mate can be 15 years or however much older than you and it's fine.
