2) Melanie-Rose Vaneti... she's strong willed but a pain in the ass (Elijah's ass that is😏) she has a dark past that she desperately wants to forget but finds it useless.

3) they both have traumatic pasts... sounds like a match made in heaven right? WRONG... they're a match made in hell😏

4) THESE CHARACTERS ARE FICTIONAL. This is a FICTION book. If I want a character to jump out of a 50ft moving plane and survive, you bet your ass that's what's gonna happen because on wattpad anything can happen.

5) Elijah's wealthy, he pisses money like you— well piss. The way he earns his money is I guess down to him and his.

6) Melanie isn't rich, in fact she moves from Colombia to America with nothing.

7) THIS COULD BE CLICHE ... boy meets girl, they fall in love and live happily ever after, but I'm pretty evil and won't give them an easy time getting there.

6 months earlier...

"Are you ready?" Luca turns to face me, looking slightly worried but relieved I finally have a chance to escape the hell my life turned to after meeting my 'dear' fiancée.

"I'll see you soon Luca." I reassure him giving him a quick hug as I leave to board my flight.

I look back to see a sad Luca in the distance but I know this is for my safety and so does he.

Colombia's always been a dangerous place, especially who my family have been mixed up with. My mother decided it was in my best interests to marry me off to someone with money and power, in the beginning I thought maybe they were right, but then I met the man who is Alejandro Castillo. He's your worst nightmare.

In the beginning we were happy, I adored him but then his jealousy made him do awful things. He treated me like shit, made me feel worthless and powerless. Of course I fought back but it'd no use when your half someone's size and the person you're fighting with is a dangerous Man.

Luca knew about our home life and after devising a plan for 3 months he helped me escape leaving no trace for Alejandro to track me down.

My mother knew what was happening to me but of course she didn't care. We were never very close- She always favoured my sister, Juliette. My sister is a year older than me and in my mother's eyes she was an angel.

I done everything in my power to make my mother proud; to make her love me. In school, I had straight A's, i stayed in and studied while Juliette was out partying sleeping with god knows who.

I met a nice boy and of course they took that away from me. My mother told me he was beneath our family, a man of that sort wasn't to brought into our family house. She beat me until I eventually gave in and left him. It broke my heart and I spent countless weeks locked in my room trying to mend a broken heart.
