"we're here." soonyoung stated as he and jihoon stood in front of the building, small suitcases alongside them.

jihoon gave soonyoung a strange look. before they had gotten on the train, soonyoung had been so excited. "you're gonna love it! the room is so nice, and it's right next to the sea!" but at this moment, soonyoung didn't seem excited at all.

soonyoung was feeling a bit childish. he was still a little hurt from jihoon's outburst on the train. jihoon probably hadn't meant it, but...

"stop being a baby, soonyoung," he scolded himself silently. "you're an adult."

jihoon turned to soonyoung. "wanna go in or what?"

startled, soonyoung just nodded. they lugged their suitcases inside the hotel and walked up to the front desk. "hi, i booked room 217. my name is kwon soonyoung."

the receptionist nodded and gave him the key. jihoon and soonyoung walked to their room and opened the door. jihoon gasped softly. it really was a beautiful room. he glanced at soonyoung to see his reaction, but soonyoung just yawned and laid down on the bed. "i'm gonna sleep." he said tiredly.

"oh... okay. me too." jihoon murmured. he slid under the freshly made blanket. "sweet dreams."

soonyoung allowed an oddly sad smile to appear on his lips. "sweet dreams, jihoon."

jihoon watched as his boyfriend drifted off into a dream. he waited until he was sure soonyoung was asleep, his chest heaving slowly up and down. and then, for the first time in a while, he intertwined his fingers with soonyoung's.

jihoon wiggled his fingers apprehensively. holding soonyoung's hand felt nice.

suddenly, a tear spilled out of jihoon's eye, followed by several more. jihoon began to sob. he held on to soonyoung tightly and whispered almost inaudibly, "don't let go."
