Dwarven Denouement

"What? Where did they go?", Neana asked looking around. "I don't know.", Kili groaned,"Thorin is gonna kill us." Bilbo seemed to be focusing on something's off in the distance, Neana saw it to. "Um, what is that?", he asked. Instead of a response, the trio dragged him with them as they went to go investigate.

The smell hit them like a ton of bricks. "Trolls.", Fili said. Sure enough, there were three trolls sitting around a fire. "There's the ponies!", Neana whispered. Pointing off into the corner,"How are we going to get them?" Kili smiled,"Bilbo!" "What?" Kili rolled his eyes,"You are our burglar, now do some burglering!" Fili agreed to this idea,"And if you get in trouble, hoot twice like a brown owl and once like a barn owl.", he said pushing him forward. Neana turned to glare at them, only to see that they weren't there. She looked at Bilbo,"Well then, looks like it's just you and me."

Neana and Bilbo snuck around a few boulders and were to the left of the trolls. Neana silently sprinted to the pen the ponies were in and tried to untie the rope. Neana turned to Bilbo and shook her head. Bilbo looked around. His eyes settled on a sharp knife-like thing, that should work! Only there was on problem, it was attached to a trolls belt. Neana saw what she was looking at and nodded. She made her way over to the belt, Bilbo following after her. He was on the brink of getting it unhooked when the troll wearing it reached behind him. Neana dived out of the way but Bilbo wasn't quick enough and ended up being used as a handkerchief.

The troll shrieked,"Boys! Look what's come outa me hoota! It's got arma and legs and everything!" The other 2 trolls peered closer at the snot covered Bilbo. "What is it?"

"I'm a burglar--Hobbit!" The trolls seemed interested,"Can we cook it?" The one who had held Bilbo reached forward to grab him again,"We can try!" Neana jumped in last second, pushing Bilbo out of the way. Her legs fell beneath her, and she felt herself being carried upward.

Fili and Kili ran to the camp. "Trolls...",said Kili,"They stole the ponies, but Bilbo is getting them back." Thorin looked behind them, and with a stern voice he asked,"Where is Neana?" Fili turned around and saw that she wasn't there. His eyes widened as he looked at Kili, and without a second thought they ran back into the wood.

When they found the trolls again Neana was dangling up in the air, her leg being held by a troll. Then a second troll grabbed the fleeing Bilbo and held him up in the air as well. Fili was thinking, and he was about to tell his brother the plan but when he glanced in the direction his brother was, he wasn't there. Fili looked up and saw that he had his sword drawn and was shouting at the trolls.

"Drop him!", Kili shouted. "Do what?",replied the troll. Kili swung his sword around and shouted,"I said..drop him!" The troll then shrugged and threw Bilbo at Kili, sending them flying back into a tree. The 3 trolls then started looking at Neana. They were deciding whether or not it would be beneficial to eat her or not. Fili looked at her face, it was red and she looked as if she were going to pass out at any second. The blood's rushing to her head, she'll be dead before they even decide what to do with her.

Just as Fili was about to attack to trolls, the entire company came screaming out of the wood. Fili smiled and joined the fight. He kept slashing the legs of the trolls. The troll he cut lost grip of Neana, and she started falling. Fili reached out and caught her, only not so gracefully, her head hit the side of the pot. "Durin Fili!", she said touching her head as he set her down.

"Throw down your arms or his come of!" Neana saw Bilbo frozen with fright being held by his arms and legs. Thorin and the rest of the company threw down their weapons. Kili was last. The next thing they knew they were being put into bags. Neana was the last one put into a bag. They tossed her quite forcefully onto the pile of bagged dwarves.

"Sorry",she said looking at the figure she landed on. Only to be nose to nose with Fili and halfway sitting on Kili's lap. Fili chuckled,"It alright Neana." Fili felt his face grow warm. He looked over and saw Kili smirking. Kili then shifted slightly, causing Neana to slip down a few inches and turn. "Oh!", her face was now in the crook of Fili's neck. She tried to move but to no avail.

Fili was so embarrassed his face was hotter than the fire. He felt Neana mumble, "Sorry again Fili.", but he could only focus on the vibrations her voice sent to his neck. Her lips were practically on the side of his neck. He glared at Kili, who just grinned innocently as if he didn't know what he did wrong.

The trolls were spinning a slickest covers with dwarves and discussing how to prepare them. Fili could barely understand what they were saying. Neana whispered,"What's happening?" Fili shuddered. He told Neana that the trolls were planning how to cook them. Neana was still bewildered at her current situation. Not the troll part, no she was on good terms with that. No it was the fact that her face was in the neck of the dwarf prince. Though bewildered, she didn't exactly NOT like it. She inhales slowly and deeply taking in his scent. He smelt the same as he did back then, sandalwood and nutmeg. Which to Neana was heaven.

Pulling from her thoughts were the shouts of Bilbo,"Wait! Wait you're making a terrible mistake!" The trolls seemed confused as the bagged Bilbo hopped forward. "I mean uh, with the seasoning." There were shouts of anger from the dwarves. "What's wrong with the seasoning?", the head troll asked. "Well have you smelt them? It's going to take a lot more than sage to get this bunch infected-" "What do you know about cooking dwarf!" That troll got a swift hit to the back of the head,"Quiet! Let the uh, fluberburglahobbit, talk." The 3 trolls looked at him expectantly. Bilbo stuttered,"Well um the secret to cooking dwarf is uh....." The trolls leaned forward with anticipation,"Yes? Come one tell us the secret!" "Yes yes! I'm telling you! The secret to cooking dwarf is....to......skin them first!" This angered many of the dwarves. They shouted things like traitor and Bilbo received many threats. "Get me filleting knife!"

"What a load of rubbish! I've eaten plenty of dwarves skin and all! It makes them crunchy!", the troll reached forward and grabbed Bombur. He was about to drop iphim in his mouth when Bilbo shouted," No not that one! He's infected! Yea he's got worms in his...tubes." The troll dropped Bomber onto the group. He landed on top of Neana and Fili. Pressing Neana so close to Fili that her lips were basically glued here. "In fact they're all infected. Nasty parasites, I wouldn't risk it I really wouldn't." Kili started about at Bilbo. Fili whispered to Thorin that Bilbo was stalling until sunrise, and Thorin understood. He have Kili a kick and gave him a look that said 'play along'. "I've got parasites as big as my arm!" "I've got the biggest parasites!"

"What are you saying, we let them go?" Bilbo shrugged,"Well.."

"Don't think I don't know what you're doing fluberburglahobbit! We'll just take you!"

Just then Gandalf's voice boomed loudly,"The dawn shall take you all!"

"Who's that? Can we eat him to?" But before that question was answered, Gandalf struck the rock he was standing on with his staff splitting it in half. Sunlight poured over the trolls and they screamed as they turned to stone.

Bilbo quickly helped Kili out and then went to help the others. Kili rolled Bombur off of Neana and Fili. Smirking he said,"If I didn't know any better, I would say you two were getting quite the snuggle on." Fili just glared at his brother. Kili, still smirking, helped the two out.

Thorin walked over to Gandalf. "The must have come down from Ettenmoors.", Gandalf said thoughtfully as he examined the troll statues. Thorin scoffed, "Since when do Mountain Trolls venture this far south?" Gandalf sighed, "Oh not for an age. Not since a darker power ruled these lands." Thorin looked up at Gandalf with a dark expression. "They could not have traveled in daylight.", Gandalf informed, changing the subject. Thorin's eyes lit up,"There must be a cave." And once everyone was freed from their bags, the company set out and searched for the cave.
