Dark Magic

"What!" "Wait...where am I?", said Linley as he gawked around looking for something or maybe anything. Nothing, there was absolutely nothing there just an abyss full of darkness."Help !....Help me", Linley was quiet brave but there was something about this place some dark aura he sensed it was so daunting..so petrifying that Linley could not move even a single muscle.

There was nothing there but still he was afraid, there was no one there but still he felt as he was being ogled. He wanted to leave just somehow abscond from there but he stayed. He fluttered in the void, trying to go somewhere but no matter how much he tried nothing happened, it was of no use, all he did was wait, wait for something..anything to happen but no, there was nothing there.

He was broken on the inside, everything he did seemed useless. Suddenly, he felt something. Something had grabbed his arm but he could not see it, it was just like the darkness itself was holding him. Then came another and grabbed both his legs.

He was fighting or he was trying because no matter what he did the mass of darkness was too strong. It was just as if the darkness had formed ropes that kept constricting.

They kept on coming until he was completely covered. He tried and tried but it was all futile because the ropes did not seem to budge. He thought "What is this?" , he was on the verge of crying, he had almost given in to the darkness.

It was scary but then slowly as he gave in he felt stronger, he felt calmer, he had never felt such relaxed ever in his life, never. "It feels just like when Mother used to sing to me", thought Linley as he faintly smiled, he was happy but he was crying.

Suddenly he realized "I...I" his mind was blown, "I remember mother " he cried as he thought of it, he could not remember anything more but even that trace of memory was enough, he could hear it resonating through his mind.

It was a language he did not understand but he could hear his mother singing to him. It was beautiful, the mere sound of the words made him joyous and calm he could not seem to remember her face but still he remembered her voice.

"Mom, I remember now", and he finally gave up, he let the darkness engulf him, the more it did the more the song got diminished until finally he could hear it all, he was alone, so lonely yet he was happy, he did not want to leave now "I will stay mother", he said and then slowly ensued to nothing.

Maud:

"Well such a reckless idiot you are" as Linley collapsed in front of him, he had just fought an exhausting battle so it was something expected,"Oh!, Come on get up boy, I can't have you fainting on me" he weirdly laughed, but then instantly went towards Linley, he was exhausted and had fainted due to overexertion it seemed, he looked pale, Maud almost pitying him reached for him.

He was about to pick him up when he realized that something was wrong with Linley he looked closely at him again his magical power was down to none, but still the amount of power emanating from him was almost frightening.

"How is this possible?" he went on and just as he grabbed his arm to pull him up he saw that Linley's eyes were wide open. Seeing it Maud smiled and said"So, he finally decides to wak....." he was not even finished when Linley punched him in the guts, the intensity of the blow was so strong that it almost blew him off the mountain.

Maud was flabbergasted, he looked at Linley, there was a grim smile on his face, his eyes had turned from blue to deep black pure black even the white of his eyes was gone.Maud had took a strong hit, so strong that even with a physique like his, he knew his ribs had broken as he coughed blood.

"Linley, Stop this!", he shouted but Linley looked dead at him. Maud could not think of what had happened , was like Linley had forgotten him, he was thinking the possibilities of what could have happened  when he saw something he saw a cloud of smoke a pure black cloud of smoke that radiated out of Linley.

He was then sure that it was dark magic, it slowly revolved around Linley healing all his wounds, even the huge scar on his chest healed completely. Then just as his last wound healed Linley picked up his sword and took stance looking towards Maud, he still had the grim look on his face.Maud looked at him "So that's how it's going to be eh boy?" he laughed almost hiding his fear "Come at me boy, let's see what you got".

Linley laughed a demonic laugh, the voice was not his but of multiple people speaking at once. It was scary, Maud was scared but he did not let it show, not even a hint, almost as if he were wearing a mask.

Suddenly Linley raised his sword and vanished from his sight like a blur,Maud smiled and said "Where did you go bo..." almost taunting him but then he felt a strange feeling in his body, he looked down to see that Linley had impaled him with his sword.

"H...how?" Linley laughed again and held Maud's head, he said "Feeble Creature" and then he left him, pulled out his sword and laughed a monstrous laugh.Maud was in pain but he stood up, he said "Feeble eh boy?".

Linley looked back and saw Maud standing up smiling at him. "Let us see" and suddenly Maud was behind Linley, he kicked him hard on his head and Linley went back flying."That feel feeble boy?" Linley stood right back up and the battle begun, Maud was barehanded but still he was able to fight back well against Linley's demonic powers. Linley used slow attacks on Maud.

He evaded them easily but their  intensity was enough to cut him in two, he was careful and smart with his moves, he knew he had to end it quickly so he sent a huge wind blade at Linley to push him back and said "Forgive me for this Lin".

Saying this Maud opened both his hands and started casting a spell, Linley on the other had winded his sword and all the darkness around his body started flowing into his sword. They both knew this was their final blow.

Maud collected wind across his body his eyes bright green with the huge amount of magic flowing through his body.

Then he looked and Linley with a sad face, Linley looked right back laughing confident as if he knew he was going to win, and he charged at Maud. Maud flew up in the sky Linley missed his attack due to it and looked up, Maud faced his palms towards Linley and said "Final Cyclone".

In doing so a huge wave of wind blew from Maud's palms towards Linley, it was so fast that he could do nothing about it. It was so strong that it shattered the whole mountain down.Maud used another spell and all the debris flew away. He was still flying when he saw Linley lying unconscious on the ground, he went to him and saw that all the dark magic had vanished.He looked at Linley and said "So dark magic is it?"
