THE DUEL

Characterisation

Caesar : The proposed King who took his life and gave up the ghost for fear he will not be able to carry on his legacy. He is a major character and an important decider to the throne. On his death, he left a mode of retribution on the account that his son, Lionel,  takes the throne...

Lionel : The hero of this story, is in love with a girl called Josethello but all his advances at first to make her join his cabinet fails as she excuses herself each time he pops the question. Lionel becomes very unsettled when he receives the thrown at a very early age,  and the suicide committed by his Father adds to his pain. His pain triples as his love Josethello, is put at stake to define the future of his Kingdoms.

Agada : Wife to the King, She is the Queen of Anila, the mother to Lionel. She finds a way to put her son together and supports him in creating the empire. The presence of Agada shows a supportive woman who could take the risk of war to avenge the death of her husband as she calls it.

Jorel : Arms and tactical war specialist of Anila. He is also the Commander of the army that led the soldiers to war against the "Four heavens". Jorel becomes a major character in the later scenes towards the end of the story.

Cornelius : The chief adviser to King Caesar III,  Cornelius is portrayed at first as a dark hearted persona but in later sequences of events, Cornelius's role as an adviser prompts his very importance.

Josethello : The wood behind the bricken wall, Josethello is the love of Lionel. In various scenes she calls Lionel on telephone and communicates with him frequently. She loved Lionel very much even till the very face of death. Josethello was murdered by Lionel for the sake of his Empire and his people. She was notified most commonly, as very beautiful and angelic. 

Emmanuella : The leader of the "Four heavens", just happened to be her. She was very mean and cruel. She was Josethello's mother. She killed her husband when Josethello was a little girl. She was stabbed to the heart by Jorel, Anila's Chief war commander during the great war.

Guards : These are the protectors and told to be the most loyal servants in a kings cabinet.

Travis : Travis is a minor character that appears in only one scene, he brings great information to the King before the very war. Travis was said to be a young gentleman.

Phineas : He is an important character. He is Emmanuella's chief adviser. He was also murdered by Emmanuella . Phineas was despicably described as the one who sold information and tips to Travis because he had no respect for the empire of the "Four heavens".

Prisoners : In " THE DUEL" there are only two prisoners that are accorded into conversations. During Cornelius's week in jail. He spent time with Tyler, and Pain. These characters are for the sole purpose of representing humour and mockery.

Driver : The driver is said to be the most eloquent servants to Prince Lionel. He rides Lionel to Josethello's house and Prince Lionel is safe around  him.

Security Officer : This is a minor character and he portrays his attitude as a persona while acting upon his work ethics. He stops the driver and Prince Lionel at the border to Culptus.
