Bethany Alba

Michael and Luke had came in almost everyday for the past two weeks. They claim that the shop was already their hang out place. I had also met the third and fourth part to their assemble. Ashton and Calum.

Ashton was the boy I had seen at Food 4 Less, he was the nicest one out all of them for sure. He was really sweet, and always put other first.

Calum was a completely different story. He was nice and funny to other people, just not to me. The only times we've talked to each other we've ended up in an argument. I don't think he liked me much. I believe he was bothered that I would hang out with them in their 'hangout' and it wasn't just them anymore, which I totally get.

"I'm sorry Mrs. Henley, I'll find you and your grandson somewhere to sit. Please excuse me, while I go clear out sets for you." I tell the frustrated old lady in front of me, with a smile.

I walk to the book section angrily with my hand on my hip.

"I've told you guys like seven times already. You have to find somewhere else to sit, unless you're reading books." I yell at the four teenage boys sprawled out on all four couches of the reading area.

Ashton raises his head, before sitting up. "Sorry Beth." He replies and gets up.

"Thank you, Ashton." I smile, before looking at the rest of them.

"I'm not moving." Luke mumbles. Before shifting and getting more comfortable.

"Cmon, three people have complained already!" I yell louder this time, making the three boys groan.

"If they have a problem with it, then they can just leave. No ones telling them to be here." He says grumpily snuggling further into the couch.

"Ugh." I groan. "Don't you guys have couches in your homes! Why do you guys have to sleep on these?!" I yell trying to pull Michaels 'sleeping' body off the couch.

"They're not the same." Luke mumbles. I turn to Ashton.

"Can you please help me?" I plead, putting both of my hands together.

"Fine." He smiles before grabbing Michaels' legs and pulling him off the couch, landing on the carpet with a thud.

"Fuck you, Ashton. I thought we were buddies." He rubs his head while sitting criss cross on the floor.

He looked adorable, his, now blue, hair was messy and his lips were in a pout.

Ashton does the same to Calum, who flips him off. Ashton was about to do the same to Luke, but Luke stood before he could.

"Hey, no need. I'm up." He says putting his hand in front of Ashton's chest.

"Thank you." I smile, blowing them a kiss before turning back to Mrs. Henley.

"All the seats at the reading spot are now empty." I smile motioning over to the couches.

"It's about time." She scoffs as she takes the little boy's hand and walking away to the couches.

I roll my eyes once she's out of sight, walking back to my counter. I plop my self down on the stool.

This time, I actually read the book catalogs on the counter. I needed to place another book order, and I was really behind.

Dan left to travel around Europe, with his husband, two days ago. I was basically running the shop from morning to night by myself. It was too much stress to put on a 16-year-old.

It was almost 6 pm, and the shop had cleared out already. I was beginning to close up.

I'm walking past the isles making sure to put everything back. I'm walking through the vinyl isles, but stop once I hear shuffling noises against the carpet.
