Chapter One
It had been such a good day, the boys and I had just finished up a spot on Ellen, and were now piling back into the limo to head back to our hotel, amid the wales of screaming fans. Harry looked over at me, those green eyes of his glinting in a wink of sunlight that spliced through the sunroof. Bloody hell, we all were shaking and laughing giddily as we pulled out of the TV studio's lot, and out onto a main highway. We hadn't had that much fun on TV in a while, the crowd was going wild when we walked out and all piled into the famed red seats, and Ellen, who is rather fond of us, just piled the questions on about the tour and our friendships.
At the thought, I looked down at my fingers, which were raking along my jeans in an odd manner. I sighed, looking over at Niall, who was jabbering away to Zayn, his Irish accent thickening. Someone snapped my suspenders and I turned to look, my eyebrows knitting together, as I let out a gasp of an 'Ow'. Harry snickered at me, and I punched his shoulder.
"What was that for, you bloke?" I snapped, chuckling, leaning back into the leather seats, watching California blur by, such different scenery from the UK.
"You were pretty touchy-feely today, Lou." Harry retorted, grinning like an idiot. I rolled my eyes, thinking back on how I couldn't help but place my hand on his knee, or wrap my arm around his shoulders - nothing out of the ordinary really. He was probably referring to when I pretended to wrap my arms around him and passionatly snog him, but Hazza is my bestfriend, we were pretty affectionate- and known for it.
"Oh, you know you liked it." I shot back, chuckling, winking and squeezing his thigh. His eyes diverted down at my hand for half a second, before returning to my face- there's that look again. Something so different. I inhale sharply, flicking his forehead, before he again snapped one of my suspenders and I let out a yell, sliding up against Zayn, who was sitting next to me, and kicking out my legs in defense.
"Alright, stop it you two, you're getting feisty." Liam said- Daddy Direction doing his job- I looked over at him, sticking out my tongue.
"God, Louis, you're so immature." He huffed, rolling his eyes.
"Yeah, I know." I chuckled, looking back over at Harry. I scrunched up my nose and stuck my tongue out at him, he glared at me with that I'm so going to get you later look.
Some time passed in the limo, more chattering excitedly, planning dinner and what not, when we pulled up to the 5-star hotel, nestled way back in the hills of California. A resort really, and surely Harry would find some girl to flirt with within the first few minutes. I rolled my eyes mentally, the bloody idiot, going to get AIDs toying around like this.
We all piled out of the limo, and were ushered by our body guards into the lobby before any onlookers would fully notice and out our location.
The lobby was designed like it was for Bill Gates - and surely he'd stayed here a few times - all of us paused in the giant doorway, wide-eyed and in awe. After all, we were just five normal guys that weren't really used to being pampered in one-grand-a-night suites. The lobby had marble floors, and vaulted cieling that curved upward with several sky lights allowing winks of light in. The thing that was most breath-taking though was the gigantic chandelier that glimmered down in the center of the circulaur room, right over an imperial looking desk, which a trim, blonde woman stood behind, looking at us like he all had been induced in radioactivity.
I let out a small little note, and it rang out clearly in this incredible lobby. I giggled, looking over at Harry, then at the rest of boys, who all grinned back, and we broke quietly in "One thing" harmonizing right on, and it echoed all around, as though singing in a church. We paused, and I looked t the chills on my arms. One of our managers, Paul, glanced back at us, shaking his head and rolling his eyes before checking us in.
