Chapter 9 : Chard's Spot

Last time on Dragon Ball New Age. As the days go by, Earth is preparing its self for the oncoming attack from Ekron and his men. But as they head towards Earth, all that they leave behind them is a path of destruction. With a planet in nothing but a memory, all that stands in the way of Ekron are the new generation of Z-fighters. But even with a years training will it be enough to stop the onslaught of Ekron's mission?  Find out now!

10 months have passed now.

"Haya!" Screamed out Kale. His fist met with Chard's. A loud thud came out as soon as the fists made impact.

Both Chard and Kale looked each other in the eyes. Exchanging looks, Chard retreated his attack back. Swiftly taking his leg back he attempted to kick Kale in the ribs. Kale had a swift eye. He responded back by raising his knee to block the attack.

"Hmph." Kale grunted in pain. Although he blocked Chard's attack it was still a painful kick.

Leaving himself defenseless, Chard swung his fist aiming to Kale's front of his face.

Kale didn't see the attack, quickly trying to react. Kale raised his arm to catch the punch. But it was too late. The attack landed.

Kale was in a shock. The punch powerful enough to knock out Kale. Because of the shock Kale was now unconscious, leaving him falling out of the Towers border. Plummeting at a high speed.

'Oh no.' Chard thought to himself. Realizing that his freind was unconscious. Chard dove at slight faster speed than of Kale's. Extending his arms out trying to catch Kale. He was only a few inches away from saving Kale. Their no time to spare both of the Z-Fighters were reaching the ground. Chard pushed himself to catch Kale. His fingers now only a few centimetres away.

"Got you!" Cried out Chard in a excited relief. Chard got a hold of Kale's wrist. Bringing him back up too the top of the Tower. If Chard hadn't caught Kale any other second, Kale would of hit the hard ground. Putting him out of commission for the fight to defend the Earth.

"Man you're heavy for some your age." Chard said trying to see if Kale had regained any consciousness.

Kale heard what Chard had said but he only mumbled a few unclear words.

".....You....Sav.....Me..." Kale mumbled.

"I'm not sure if you're thanking me for saving you or surprised that I actually bothered to save you." Chard was only kidding at the last part he had said. But he wasn't sure if Kale had really heard him.

After stopping by at Korin's for a sensu bean, Kale was at full health and now able to understand Chard clearly. Calling it a day, the two young warriors were sitting at the edge of the Tower. From the edge they could see as far as the eye could see. The sun was setting, the bright orange that the sun was shinning bounced off to the trees around the Tower almost making it like it was Autumn.

"Kale," Chard said.

Kale looked at him. He wasn't sure what Chard was going to say next but whatever he was going to say it was kinda making him feel uneasy.

"Kale you're only 11 thats amazing. "Said Chard in a astonished voice. "Me myself well I'm only 18 but for someone your age to come to train for a year to protect the Earth from a greater threat!" Chard raised his voice in excitement it was almost enough to make Kale jump out of his sitting position and fall of the Tower again.

Chard continued "Aren't you scared though?"

"Scared of what. That a couple of green colored big-eyed aliens are coming to the earth to as Kyruri says 'Lay waste to the planet' . No Chard I'm ready for anything that those aliens got we're only 5 months away from finding out what those aliens are really made out of. And I'll be ready."
