Chapter 8

*back at the avengers tower*

" YOU LET HER GET AWAY!" Yelled fury

"Well obviously" muttered Natasha

"This was IMPORTANT I can't believe you didn't get her!" Fury practically screamed

"Sir with all due respect we were trying to be nice but she sort of freaked out she looked absolutely terrified"said Steve

" well no shit!" Said peter

"Language!" Yelled Steve

" I'm just saying she has good reason to be scared when you threw the shield at her! Now whenever she sees us she will run away! Did you see how- how disappointed she was when you did that?! She never want it to happen like that! She didn't want to have to resort to using her powers!" Peter said

He was really mad, he had said this was a bad idea and now cold front was never going to be on their side

"You should have done more than just throw the shield!" Yelled fury

"And what did you want us to do then? Shoot her?!" Said Natasha

"I don't know! Shoot here with webs and stick her down then hit her over the head then bring her here!" Said fury

"I did 'shoot web' at her she just froze it and broke out of it!"defended peter

"This is ridiculous! And it's waistline time, you can make all the excuses you want but at the end of the day you let her get away! You are dismissed!" Fury said waving his hand at the door and bringing the other to the bridge of his nose

*time skip to the next day*
*still at avengers tower*

" we're just gonna be killed again! I can't believe him!" Complained a vet pissed off peter as he, Steve, Natasha, Clint, and Tony made their way to fury's office after being called there a few minutes ago

"I swear that man needs to chill out" Natasha said

"Awww someone's in trouble!" Teased Clint as he pocked Natasha

"Poke me again Barton and I will break not only your finger but your entire hand" threatened Natasha,

Tony laughed.

Clint quickly retracted his hand.

*knock knock*

"Come in" Fury barked from the other side of the door

Steve turned the handle  and stepped in followed by the others

"Take a seat" Fury said as he gestured to the table with 5 seats

After everyone was seated Fury began

"Now after agent Romanoff's, mr roger's and mr parker's failed attempt of catching the girl yesterday I thought of two new tactics to get cold  front to come and tell us her identity and how she got her powers"

"Why are you so intent on finding her?" Asked peter, who was really pissed about the situation because now cold front hates him
"She said she was on our side!"

"Her word means nothing to me!" Growled fury "this girl has incredible power that if used in the wrong hands could be devastating to all of SHEILD for all we know she could freeze your heart with a flick of her hand"

"SHE WOULDN'T THOUGH" peter yelled standing up "you didn't see how scared she was even before cap threw his shield, she is my friend and a good person! Just because she has power doesn't instantly make her a threat! Or mean we have to scare the shit out of her!"

"THATS ENOUGH" Fury shouted and peter sat down

" I don't care what you say boy" Fury all but growled "we need to bring her in"

Peters glare was.. well- let's just say if looks could kill Fury would be dead.

"I want nothing to do with this" peter said, his voice was steady but terrifyingly bitter, he stood up and left slamming the door on the way out

"Well that was unexpected" Clint said breaking the long silence that had fallen on the room

"It is no matter!" Said fury "here is the plan....."
