14|The Forest of Chakra: Feelings

Natsumi graoned as she slowly opened her eyes. When they adjusted to the brightness from the sunlight outside, the first thing she see is her friends.

"Natsu!" Naruto exclaimed with relief.

"Hey, guys. What happened?" Natsumi asked as she sat up, only to wince in pain as she clutches her bandaged abdomen.

"Try not move. You got severely injured during our fight with Zabuza. You passed out from blood loss." Sasuke explained monotonously as he gently laid her back down to bed, "Kakashi-Sensei passed right after we took care of you. He's in another room resting."

"I see that you're awake." A voice said from behind them. Everyone looked towards the owner of the voice only to see a young woman with dark hair and eyes, "How are you feeling?" She asks.

Natsumi grins, "Never been better. Though it does feel a little bit weird around my stomach. It kinda tickles."

The woman smiles, "That's just the medicine to help numb the pain a little. Though the side effects should have kicked in now. You wouldn't be able to walk for a while so you should-" She was interrupted by Natsumi who was standing up with shaking legs with the help of Naruto. "Oh, my."

Natsumi looked up, "Is something the matter?" She asked.

"Oh, nothing. It's just that you must be pretty strong to withstand the sdie effects. Impressive." The woman commented with wide eyes.

~Time Skip~

The four ninjas were walking towards the room Kakashi was resting in. Natsumi was using a crutch to help her walk around better. Once they walked into his room, they noticed that the Jounin was already awake.

"Look, the Sensei's coming around." Naruto said. Natsumi and Sakura walked up to his bedside.

"How are you feeling, Kashi?" Natsumi asked with a smile. "Kashi?" Kakashi repeated with a questioning look. Natsumi sheepishly smiled.

"Well, I've always gave nicknames to those who are close to me so I thought why not give you one." She answered truthfully as she rubs the back of her head. In the background, you could see Naruto pouting, Sasuke frowning a little, and Sakura staring off to space.

'Cute' Kakashi thought as he ruffles Natsumi's spiky salmon hair.

"Listen, Sensei, your Sharingan is amazing and everything, but if it puts that much strain on you, maybe it's not worth it." Sakura lightly scolded from each other side of his bedside 

"Sorry." Kakashi apologized. Tazuna grunted, "Well, you did take down one of the most powerful ninja assassins, so we'll be safe for a while."

"Right, but you know that boy with thr mask, what about him?" Sakura asked.

"He's from the elite tracking unit of the village hidden in the mist. Those masks are only worn by the most elite shinobi." Kakashi explained.

"What exactly do they do?"

"The Anbu Black ops, also known aa the Inferno Squad, destroy all traces of a rouge ninja's corpse. The Shinobi's body contains many secrets--Ninjutsu, Chakra, Special medicines used on his body. These are the secrets of his village. If his enemies find them, his people will be in grave danger. For instance, if I were to die at the hands of an enemy, he would try to analyze my Sharingan. In the worst case, my enitire justu could be stolen and used against our home village. It's the sacred duty of the Shinobi, trackers to prevent this, to keep the village secrets safe. If a ninja betrays his village, the trackers hunt him down, eliminate him, and obliterate every trace if his existence. That's their specialty."
