Part 8

~MASONS PROV~

The last bell rang and everyone ran out of the classroom.
"Remember class read chapter 194, we will be discussing it next week!"

I walk out of the classroom and walk towards the exit. I find lily sitting on the stairs waiting for her parents. I go and sit next to her.

"What up lilz."
She looks up from her book and gives me a weird look.
"Lilz? Really?"
"What? It's your new nickname." I give her the cheesiest smile and laugh.
"Don't like it?"
"No, its weird." She says.
"Well, you dont have to like it. I like it though"

She rolls her eyes and goes back to reading her book.
"Whatever... son!" I look at her and raise my eyebrow.
"What? It's your new nickname. You dont have to like it. But I like it." She says using the same words I did. I shake my head and laugh it off. We look up when we here a honk. Her mother was waiting for her. She puts her book away and gets up.
"Bye son!" She yells.
I shake my head but smile anyways.
"Bye lilz!" I yell back.
Once she was gone I sat back down on the stairs and waited for my ride. I sit there and wait till I here someone talking to me.
"Your Mason right?"
I turn my head to see a boy with black hair and blue eyes staring at me. I realized he was one of the popular kids.
"Yeah. Who's asking?" He comes and sits next to me and opens his mouth to speak.
"I am, names Daniel." He puts his hand out in front of me to shake. I stare at his hand for a second then grab it.
"Mason, well I guess you already know that." I say shaking his hand. He let's out a small laugh.
"Anyway I was wondering... if you could help me.... in science class." He says a little embarrassed.

"We are in the same class and well my grade in that class is slipping. So would you like to help me?" I sat there staring at him. Is this dude for real? Is he really asking me for help? The famous football player and popular guy.. is asking me to tutor him?

"Please?" He said. I stare at him a couple more seconds wondering if this is just a prank or if he really wants my help. I finally decided that I should answer.
"So like a tutor then."
"Y-yes."
"Just out of curiosity, why do you want me to help you?" I say squinting my eyes at him.

"Well, our principle said my grade is slipping in that class and that I need to find someone smart to help me. And since your smart and we have the same class, I wanted to ask you."

"But, why me? There are other people in that class smarter than me."

"Well, i did ask that nerdy kid to help me, but he just laughed in my face and walked off. So I'm coming to you."

"Hmm.."

I sit there for a couple seconds thinking if maybe I should help him or not help him. I look up and saw him watching me like a hawk waiting for an answer. Rolling my eyes at his little puppy face he is giving me. He sits there a little longer giving me the puppy eyes.

"Ugh..Fine I'll help you. Everyother day after school, meet in the library ten minutes after the school bell rings. Dont be late." I say in a stern voice. Daniel looks up at me and smiles.
"Thank you! You have no idea how much this means to me." He says getting up.
"Your welcome... I guess." I say.
He thanks me again and walks off.
Great.. now I got to tutor someone. This should be fun.
I sit there for five minutes, only looking up when I hear a honk. I look but only to see it's not my dad.

~ 20 MINUTES PASS~

I'm still sitting at school. Nobody insight, I've been here for almost a half hour and nobody came to pick me up. I think I've been forgotten.. maybe I should just walk home... I means its only a couple blocks away. I look to my right to see if he was coming from down the street but see no car, it's the same for the left.
Guess I'm walking..

I get up and grab my backpack and start walking.
I'm only two blocks away from home.
I walk past an alleyway and here a bang.. I stop in my tracks and look to my left to see if I can see anybody.

"Hello?"

No answer. I shrug my shoulders and start walking again. I keep walking. I then pass another alleyway and here more noises. I look to my left to see if anybody was in the alleyway just playing a prank.

"Hello?" I asked a little louder. Still no answer..
I walk a little further into the alleyway to see if I can see anybody. I'm standing in the middle of the alleyway and still nobody.

Then I heard the bang again on my right. Jerking my head to the right to see just a garbage can. Your just imagining things, nothings out here.. maybe I should leave.. my parents are probably worried sick about-

"BANG!"

I look at the garbage can to see it shaking.. now me being me, got curious and started walking closer to the garbage can. As I'm walking closer to the garbage, it shakes. It shakes more violently every step I take..

Now I'm standing in front of the can. I reach a hand out to take the lid off. I finally grab the handle with my shakey hand.
Okay, I will open the garbage can on 3 and see what's inside that's making it shake..

"Okay, on 3. 1...2....3!"

I rip the lid off and hold it in front of my chest and stepped a couple feet back. The garbage can stopped shaking, and everything was quiet. I take a few steps forward. I keep walking until I'm in front of the can again. I hesitate for a couple seconds, thinking if maybe I should look inside or just wait for whatever is inside the can to jump out.

I decided I look inside for only a couple of seconds. I take one more step and bend my body a little bit to look inside. I get closer and closer, I could almost see inside, but before I could something jumps out...
"AAAAHH!"

To be honest guys.. I forgot I wrote a story... I totally forgot until I started getting notifications of people adding there to there reading lists. So thanks to those who added my story to your reading list because I probably would have forgot. Anyway here's another chapter out as you can see. I hope you like it!
