theres more yoonmin than taekook here sry
(Ik ppl read this for Taekook but I genuinely couldn't come up with anything for that duo rn and I thought this was cute sigh)

Jungkook was sitting in the corner of the dance studio on a Friday afternoon after yet another studio showcase. Unlike the last one, which was meant to show individual skill, this was group dance routines. Each of the exchange student's/interns got a group of students, ranging from elementary to high school age, to teach a routine to. Today was the day the groups performed the routines.

It was all in good fun, there was no 'winner,' but Jungkook took this stuff very seriously.

He was proud of his group of students. For a group of six 14 year olds, they did exceptionally well. It was good practice for him. His only gripe was that there was one specific student in the group that was off-beat by a second or two and constantly making it obvious that she was getting lost with the choreography.

But that wasn't her fault. It was Jungkook's. He promised her that he would take extra time to help her but he forgot and the poor girl was already shy enough, how could he expect her to confront him about it? Jungkook forgot to give her the extra help she needed and because of that, she probably was beating herself up over something that was entirely caused by Jungkook. It wasn't her fault that she was placed with a group that was more experienced than her! It was Jungkook's fault, though, that she didn't get the proper help.

Fuck, he felt awful.

He didn't get the chance to speak with her before she left for the day, but he was hoping to catch her on Monday.

Since the day was now over, most of the people had gone home. Jungkook could leave right now if he wanted, but he was a bit nervous to see Taehyung.

He fiddled with his black snapback that he was wearing earlier, twirling it around on his hands.

"Hey." A voice caught the young dancers attention. Jungkook lifted his head and saw none other than Park Jimin approaching him, arms folded over his chest and his head cocked to the side slightly. "I know distress when I see it, and you, my young friend, are distressed." He slid down the wall next to Jungkook and propped his arms up on to his knees.

Jungkook shook his head. "It's nothing." He laid his head back on the wall.

"Uh-huh. Nothing." Jimin rolled his eyes. "You need to stop clamming up, dude."

Jungkook sighed heavily and let his head fall to hang forward. "I'm not. I'm just stressed. This teaching thing is harder than I thought."

"Don't you do some back home?"

"Yeah, but not with kids." Jungkook scoffed. "I guess it's good experience, though."

Jimin nodded thoughtfully. "I suppose." He hummed and looked sideways at Jungkook. "What else is going on?"

"Nothing." Jungkook shook his head.

"Nothing, huh? You sure?" Jimin's lips twitched in amusement. "I've seen you and Taehyung have been friendly lately. What's that all about?"

The tips of Jungkook's ears turned pink and he awkwardly toyed with the snaps on the back of his snapback. "Um- yeah, I guess we have been. We're giving the whole... friend thing a shot. He's not as much of an ass as I thought he was."

"See? I told you. You just need to get to know him." Jimin nudged him with his elbow, a smile on his face. "Trying out the friend thing, then, huh? What's next?" He winked.

"What's- It's not like that, Jimin, geez." Jungkook grimaced. "He said he likes me in that way or something but-"

"-but you don't feel the same? I get it. It happens." Jimin shrugged, leaning his head back on the wall and gazing at the ceiling. "Don't write the possibility off just yet, though. You never know."

Jungkook rolled his eyes. "Can we talk about something else, please? I already feel bad about turning him down, I don't want to talk about 'what if's."

The slightly older dancer smiled. "Okay, okay." He chuckled, and continued to change the topic to discussing the routines they saw that day. Jungkook was able to talk about that much easier.

Whether that was because it just because Jimin changed the topic without any push, or because this current topic didn't put his personal feelings into question was slightly unknown to him.

Later that afternoon, after Jimin and Jungkook had walked back to the dorms, Jimin offered to treat the younger to dinner. Jungkook politely declined, stating that he was ready to sleep the rest of the day, and Jimin couldn't blame him.

So after saying their goodbye's, they went to their separate dorms.

Jimin walked into his and collapsed onto his bed, kicking his shoes off. His roommate, Yoongi, looked up from the book he was reading and raised an eyebrow.

"I thought you said you and Jungkook were going to get dinner tonight."

"No, I said I was planning to take him out for dinner tonight." Jimin laughed, sitting up a bit to look at him from across the small room. "He's exhausted though, I can't blame him. I swear he doesn't sleep when he's working on things."

"Ah." Yoongi nodded in understanding.

Yoongi was a psychology major, but had a minor in music and so his placement for this trip was doing music therapy at a children's hospital. He was so fascinated by the profession that he spent countless nights awake in the living room trying to put together his own arrangements specially for some kids he saw daily.

Jimin thought it was sweet.

"Well, how about we go instead? Have you eaten?" Yoongi began to close the bookmark into the book and swung his legs over the edge of his bed.

Jimin's chest filled with knots at the sudden rush of heat through his body. "Um- No, I haven't. Are you sure?"

"Yeah, I'm sure. I haven't eaten either." Yoongi shrugged nonchalantly and got off of his bed, sliding on his sneakers and grabbing the white and black flannel with the red hood attached. "I'm craving some Korean right now. I'm sick of sandwiches and tasteless chicken." He muttered, causing Jimin to laugh.

"I'm down." He put his shoes back on with ease and grabbed his wallet off of his dresser. He followed Yoongi out of the dorm, walking directly beside him. Yoongi slipped his hands into his pockets awkwardly, avoiding eye contact with Jimin. It seemed the close proximity was putting him under some sort of pressure.

"Oh for goodness sake..."

Jimin rolled his eyes and grabbed Yoongi's wrist, pulled his hand from the pocket, and grabbed that instead. He met Yoongi's stunned expression with a shy smile.

"If Jungkook and Taehyung aren't gonna get together, we might as well." Jimin taunted, getting a slight groan from the older.

"So if in a crazy turn of events, they do start dating, are you gonna dump me?" Yoongi narrowed his eyes, albeit jokingly.

Jimin smiled sweetly. "We'll see." He teased again and gave Yoongi's hand a good squeeze. "I think I like this, though."

Yoongi nodded, smiling as well, and looked ahead as they continued to walk. He frowned suddenly, stopped, and looked down at their hands.

"Wait. So we're... together now. Just like that? You're just going to make it official without even saying-"

"Shh." Jimin shook his head. "It doesn't matter. Now can we please keep walking? I'm starving."

Yoongi blinked, thinking momentarily. Another smile graced his features and he began to walk again, with Jimin still holding his hand.
