Noelle
Because love is blind.

"Hello?" I pick up on the first ring.
"Hey, Noelle. Its Julia."
"Oh. Hi, Julia."
"You are the first person -and most likely last person...at least, for awhile- that I'm telling this to. And its only because you're the only person I trust. And, hell, why am I even telling you this? ... I have a crush ... or I-I think I do."
"Who? Anyone I know?" I ask curiously.
"Yeah. Um. Actually."
"And..."
"This person, that I like, is named...Um. Ashley."
"Oh, yeah. That girl we, ya know, called a bitch together. You could do MUCH better."
"Ugh. I'm so screwed up. What the hell is wrong with me?" She sobs and I break a little knowing she's in pain.
"Hey. Don't you dare put yourself down like that. You hear me? You are only thirteen. You haven't tortured anyone, you haven't murdered anyone, all you've ever been was loyal and kind. So don't you dare say you're screwed up. You don't have the privilege to say that ever again. You haven't earned those words. Nothing in this universe is wrong with you."
"My parents are Christians; they'll fucking disown me."
"You don't have to tell them, not now, anyways. You said that you think you like her. Tell them when you're 100% sure. And if they disown you, so be it. You love who you love and its messed for someone else to try and control your love."
"Your advice is, like soo helpful, too helpful. Almost as if you're reading it out of some book..."
"I am. The book's called 'My Mind' and I always store it inside of 'My Skull'."
"And there goes Noelle, breaking the tension with her weirdness."
"Its my specialty."

A/N: This is my first author's note in this whole book and it's a very important one, so READ THIS!!!
K, so you might have noticed that this chapter is dedicated to @taygetsthegay and if you haven't, well, it is. #taygetsthegay is a movement on Wattpad that is trying to get more gay / lesbian characters in teen / any-kind-of fiction. It doesn't matter if they are main characters or -like in this- ensemble characters just as long as they like the same sex and aren't stereotypes (because stereotypes are hurting not helping). To participate add #taygetsthegay on your bio or tag a story with taygetsthegay.
Thanks for reading ~ Bay
