"Are we done for tonight?" Falconpaw questioned, his paws itching to get into his nest. Cherryleaf gave him a quizzical look.
"You seem eager to get into your nest, normally you don't mind working hard and late." Cherryleaf pointed out, twitching her tail. "Is something going on?"
"I'm just tired." Falconpaw replied, forcing himself to yawn. "I didn't sleep well last night, I feel like I could sleep for a moon."
Cherryleaf let out a mrrow of laughter. "Well alright. Deliver that moss to Honeypaw and Pebblestep then you can get some sleep. I'll get you tomorrow and I'll let you rest." Falconpaw dipped his head thankfully to his mentor and picked up the large wad of moss. He quickly trotted over to the medicine cat den.
"Hi, Falconpaw." Honeypaw purred as she saw him step into the den. He twitched his ear in response and set down the moss in the usual spot. "How are you doing?" She questioned.
"Tired." He answered. "Getting ready to go sleep for the night."
"We're feeling the same way." Pebblestep remarked. "Us medicine cats don't get much restful sleep these days." Falconpaw took a closer look at his sister, her pelt was slightly dull and her eyes not as bright as they usually were and had stress hidden deep in their green depths. I hadn't realized how stressed they were. He suddenly worried about his sister.
"Well," He voiced. "Make sure you to get some rest, we need our medicine cats, herbs or no herbs." He touched his tail to Honeypaw's shoulder, a deep shimmer of gratitude shown in her eyes.
"We'll do our best." Honeypaw purred. "You go get some sleep though." Falconpaw nodded and left the medicine cats to work. Unfortunately, my sleep won't be as restful as it could be. He thought. I have some questions for Falconclaw.
Falconpaw reached his nest, all the other apprentices were sleeping. He was thankful for that and curled up in his nest, hoping for no interruptions tonight.
Falconpaw opened his eyes and he was in the same, shadowy forest. He looked around, he could already smell the foul scent of the dying plants. I also never questioned why we met in this disgusting forest. It didn't take long for Falconclaw to step out of the shadows, dark amber eyes glinting in the darkness. He met Falconpaw's gaze and narrowed his eyes. Falconpaw held his head high. I'm not scared of him.
"Are you ready to actually fight today? Or are you going to fight like a braindead kit again?" Falconclaw sneered.
Falconpaw snorted. "That depends, are you doing to tell me why you killed cats from your own Clan."
Falconclaw stopped, his eyes sparking dangerously. "So, you finally asked about me." He didn't seem angry or upset, he sounded...amused.
"I did, and I want to know why you didn't tell me." Falconpaw took a step forward, demanding his answer.
"You really want to know why? Why I killed Owlfoot and why I didn't tell you?" Falconclaw stepped closer, towering over Falconpaw, who refused to back down. "I tried to kill Flowerstar because she was a tick in this Clan, Dovewish's kittypet blood tainted this Clan and now we have kittypet blood in our Clan. Every cat from Cinderflame to Petalpaw has kittypet blood in their veins and it makes them weaker. They all have their skills but in the end they aren't pure warriors and it will show at the worst possible time."
"Cinderflame is one of the best fighters in the Clan, Yarrowtail is an amazing tracker, Pebblestep is a great medicine cat, Cloudspots is an incredible hunter and Dovepaw, Sedgepaw and Petalpaw are still young. They have barely any kittypet blood in their veins and they're loyal warriors, which is more than I can say about you." Falconpaw met Falconclaw's rage filled gaze.
