One Night Stand

He had changed his clothes. He looked even better than he did at the gas station this morning. He had on a plain white t-shirt, white true religion jeans and some all white Shell-Toe Adiddas. I have to say he looked breathtaking. It was sort of weird though because angie said all black but he's the boss so I guess he can do what he wants to. He had a big bag of McDonalds. When he saw me he looked kind of taken back but his expression quickly changed into a happy one.

"so we meet again, you must be the new addition to the family?" he said with a sly devious grin that I found sort of sexy.

"yes I am, hi I'm Germany Howard" I say and reach out my hand for him to shake.

"hi, im M, the boss" he said as he shook my hand so gently.

"well you can follow me to my office so I can get you situated and everything" he said while he gave me a gesture to follow him. When we got to his office I was in awe, it had gold and white themed walls and beautiful light fixtures. It looked really fancy for an office but I still liked it. I closed the door shut behind me. He has a big desk with a huge white chair facing the door and two black chairs on the other side of the desk that are facing his chair.

"you can take a seat if you want" he says while pointing to one of the black chairs by his desk as he walks to his white chair and sits down.

"thanks" I say as I take a seat in the second chair.

"would you like some fries?" he asks as he pulled out a medium fry from his McDonalds bag.

"no thanks" I say because I'm honestly not in the mood for fast-food. He looked sort of let down but I decided not to ask about it.

"well then tell me about yourself" he says as he sits down at his desk in front of me.

"umm I was invited here by my cousin angie who also works here and my name is Germany Howard, I'm 24 and I have a five year old daughter--"

"wait you have a daughter?" he interrupted looking completely shocked at what I said.

"yeah I do, is there something wrong?" I ask just in case.

"no just continue" he says impatiently all of a sudden.

"um well I just recently lost my job and angie told me about this job and I decided to give it a try"

"do you understand the circumstances you are under at this job?" he asks.

"yes I am fully aware and im only doing this to support my daughter" I say. He gave me a hard glare and took a bite if his double cheese burger.

"do you have any special training?" he asks after he finished chewing his food.

"yes I graduated from the police academy last year and while I was there I learned first aid so I can treat most wounds" I say all in one breath.

"thats good, I like you and I think you'll be a good addition to the crew" he said while finishing his food.

"thank you"

"no problem but your first job will be tomorrow night so be ready and angie will show you all the rules and regulations on each job and you'll get everybody's information, okay?" he says while staring directly into my eyes.

"yes and thank you so much I really appreciate this" I say.

"no problem and I'll text you the details about tomorrow night in the morning" he says in a now calming tone.

"okay I guess I'll see you then" I say as I get up to leave his office. When I get back to the middle room everyone is laughing at something.

"what's so funny?" I ask out of curiosity.

"The boss almost shit his pants when he saw how sexy you were" GiGi said as everbody except DP laughed. I wonder whats wrong with her.

"he didn't even look at me that way" I say trying to defend him and myself.

"you haven't know him as long as we have, that man is always frowning but once he saw you he turned into fuckin' Ronald McDonald" he says causing everbody to laugh except DP who just sucked her teeth and roll her eyes. I really want to know what her problem is but I dont have time to worry about her because im only here to do my job so I can support my daughter.

"he could've just been happy today" I say as they continue to laugh causing DP to walk out of the room. Whatever.

After I gave eveyone my information and got the bosses info from angie I was on my way home. When I got home I stripped off my clothes and threw them into my dirty clothes hamper. I decided to throw on some Levi jeans and a white tank top with my red Converse. Simple. I was on the couch watching tv when M texted me.

Boss- meeting tomorrow at the warehouse before the job at 9:00. Don't be late.

I read the text and decided not to text back since we have imessage and he can see that I read it. I don't know why but everything about him just seemed so familiar.  His grin, his voice, his body, his teeth,  him. I shook the thoughts out of my head when I realized it was pass the time i was supposed to leave so i can pick royal up in time. Shit. I grab my keys and fly out of the door without even putting on the alarm. When I reach the school I see royal sitting on one of the benches in front of the school and it looked like she had been crying because her eyes were puffy. I get bout of the car and run to her to see if everything is okay.

"hey baby im so sorry I just lost track of time, are you okay baby?" I say in a sincere tone.

"yeah I was crying becase I thought you were going to leave me like daddy did. Are you gonna leave me like that mommy?" she says as her eyes get watery.

"of course not baby I love you so much and I will never leave you, okay?" I say feeling myself start to get emotional. I feel so bad because it's my fault that royal is in this situation. I was the one who chose to go to that party five years ago and have a one night stand and I was the one who decided not to use protection and I hate myself for it everytime royal asks me about her father.

After taking royal out for some ice cream to cheer her up from what happened earlier we went to go visit my grandmother so we can see how she's been. When we got there her car wasn't in the driveway so I called her to see where she was at eight o' clock at night. She answered on the fifth and last ring.

"Hey germany, how are you?" I heard her sweet calm voice say through the phone.

"Hey grams I'm good but I called because me and royal are at your house but your not here so I wanted to know if you are okay"

"Oh yes I'm fine honey but me and linda wanted to go play some late night bingo at the seniors lounge"

"Okay grandma we'll just come see you tomorrow around the same time, okay?"

"That sounds great baby see you then, love you" she says right before she hangs up not giving me a chance to respond. Talk about rude.

After me and royal got home I had a whole list if things to do, which was:

-Help royal with her homework

-Start on dinner

-Run royal a bath

-Decide what I was going to wear tomorrow

-Do royals hair for tomorrow

-Put royal to bed

-Take a shower

-Call my grandmother to say goodnight

-Finally, FALL ASLEEP.

I just got off the phone with my grandmother after doing everything before that on my list. To say I was tired was a understatement, all I wanted to do was fall asleep and i did just that.
