One Night Stand

I woke up late this morning due to the long day I had yesterday so now I'm sitting here trying to wake up royal before she's late to school but her stubborn ass won't get up.

"Royal you have to get up sweetheart or your gonna be late for school"

"But I don't wanna get up mommy"

"Baby you have to because today is show & tell, remember?"

"Okay" she says I'm a whiney tone that she knows aggravates me.

"What did I tell you about the damn whining?" I say getting irritated with her attitude.

"Sorry" she says while getting up and going to the bathroom.

While royal is getting ready I go into the kitchen to so I can get the cake she's taking to school for show & tell out of the fridge. I practiced culinary arts in high school so I was able to whip up a nice little princess cake for her school. Talk about a supermom. I also packed her lunch last night because I knew I wasn't gonna have enough time to this morning.

"Royal come on its time to go" I yell to her.

"Alright" she says with an attitude. She is really going to get her little feelings hurt if she keeps talking to me like that.

"Royal don't start, alright?" I say while grabbing the cake box and my purse, ready to head out.

"Sorry" she says while grabbing her lunch and walking out of the door. She's really pushing it. I put the alarm and open my car door so I can put her stuff in the back seat.

When we pull up to the school I get out and hand her the cake and watch her walk in but right when I was about to pull off I saw my boss walk out of the school with a lady that looks about my age and to say she was gorgeous would be a huge under statement. She had a very clear Carmel skin completion and she had a figure eight shape, she was very beautiful. I wondered in my mind if that was his girlfriend. She turned in my direction and I quickly turned my head so she wouldn't see me staring at her so hard. I pulled off quickly from that awkward situation.

When I get home I go to the main building to check my mail. I get my mail and head to my apartment. When I get home I go to my living room to sit on the couch and once I sit down I start to open my mail. each letter was a new bill that I had to get paid. I really hope this job pays as much as Angie says it does.

I just remembered that I have to call my grandma to see if royal can spend the night tonight while I go do this job. I dial her number as I try to get comfy on my couch. She answers on the second ring.

"Hello"

"Hey grandma, what you been up to?" I say trying not to sound too tired or she would think something's wrong with me and keep asking me am I okay over and over.

"I've been Cleaning my house up a little, why you ask baby?" She says in a matter-of-fact tone.

"Nothing, I was just wondering if I could drop royal off there later so she can spend the night while I go do something with Angie"

"Of course baby, how's everything going with the job Angie was supposed to set you up with?" She asked.

"I got the job I'm just going there tonight for umm... Consultation, yeah consultation."

"Alright baby love you and see you later" she says before she hangs up.

Now that I have that covered I can relax for a little bit. I went to my bedroom and layed down after i changed into so more comfortable clothes. My plans were stopped abruptly when I heard my phone ringing. It was my boss.

"Hello" I say awkwardly into the speaker of my phone.

"Hey I just wanted to let you know that want everyone to come in an hour early tonight so I can discuss some ground rules" he said in his god-like deep voice.

"Umm okay"

"Is there a problem?" He said with a heavy attitude. Bi-polar much?

"No sir, there isn't" I say trying to keep my cool.

"Good, and for further notice don't call me sir call me M" he says following a chuckle. Sounding like a complete ass.

"Okay sir" I say being a smart ass back to him. I hung up right after I said that.

I knew I was going to get in trouble for the act I just pulled but I will never be disrespected and not do anything about it do he had it coming. After that annoying phone call I felt tired so I drifted off to sleep for a afternoon nap.

Soooo I've decided to continue this book and my next book so you guys won't have to wait anymore.
