"There," says Eve, pointing above her. Three obsidian points are stabbing through the hull of the ship. "My god, it's Poseidon's trident." The ship sways again. "Amihan's hurt!"
"The son of a bitch threw it all the way here," I say, stunned. I nearly fall as the floor wobbles beneath my feet. "Suzy must be dead."
The sides of the craft begin to wave and crack, as if warping in heat. Bunches of orange feathers are bursting from each wall in random places. Most of the aliens have vanished.
"Amihan's having trouble maintaining this form," says Eve. "She's hurt and angry."
The ship suddenly blasts back towards Earth and this time, we feel it. I slam to the back wall, pinned by immense pressure. The air is going thin. "Where's she going?"
"Back to Earth, straight for Poseidon. Hang on!" shouts Eve, clinging to my arm. She hands me the scroll. "When I give you the word, tear the scroll in half. It has to be you!"
