How did I end up in this situation?

Another bone splinters. Then comes a scream.

Why has my life consisted of crippling agony lately?

My skull shifts, morphing into another shape. Then comes the bellows of anguish and torment.

I flinch, dry heaving as another wave shatters whatever resolve of staying quiet I was thinking about having.

Can I rest now? Even death would be better than this.

Whatever carnivorous beasts or patrolling werewolves would have no trouble following the sharp, loud snaps, crackles and tired whimpers.

Nature and my apparent destiny had decided to serve me up to them on a silver platter. How cruel.

A torturous scream rips through my throat as my body convulses on the dew covered grass underneath me. The cooling sensation of it offering no solace.

My spine realigns, face contorts forming a snout and foreign body parts pop up like fucking daisies in the summertime on my head and from my behind.

You know what universe? Fuck you.

The universe seems to take pity on me. As the wave of pain ceases and darkness starts dotting on the edge of my blurry vision.

Right before I'm about to succumb to the welcoming arms of slumber, a faint scent tickles my nose. I can't move a muscle of my body, even as the ground starts to shake and rumble and a thundering howl is sounded in warning.

Fuck that.

I shrug off the blatant evidence that I'm probably going to be eaten alive or captured as I try to close my eyes.

They refuse to close though, as if waiting for something. Needing me to witness something.

And oh what a something it is.

A giant lycanthrope and I mean fucking giant people, like about ten feet, breaks from the tree line and approaches my slumped form on the bank of the river.

I strain my eyes, senses all seemingly dulled temporarily, to check if it came alone or if it brought some friends.

Alone.

The massive beast is really a sight to behold. Terrifyingly beautiful in the oddest way. It takes slow steps on its two hind legs, purposely advancing at a steady pace, as if to reassure me that its not a threat.

Hm. Squint. Ohhhh. Oh. 'It's a 'he'.

If the thing protruding from his ripped, dirty shorts is what I think it is.

A cool breeze slithers across my overheated skin and ruffles his caramel coat as his-I squint to get a good look again-glowing blue orbs are locked onto my form.
